Check in lady was awesome. Room was good, they granted my request on having a top floor room there wasn't a chair in the room for work tho, that's the only issue I had. It was beautiful otherwise.

When I checked in it all went well till I got to the room they assigned me. When I got my room it had been used for something. it was messed up and had used by someone and left in a mess.
I went back to the check in desk and reported it. They were very sorry and upgraded me for the issue. the staff was great and addressed it fast and professionally.

The city is great lots of sites to see, lots of restaurants with a number of different styles to choose. It all depends on your likings...of course you have the world famous Mt. Rushmore...the Crazy Horse monument, Wind Cave National Park, Custer State park...a short drive away you have the historic town of Deadwood where unfortunately Wild Bill Hickok was shot dead playing cards in the now famous #10 Saloon....In the opposite direction heading east from town you have the famous Badlands and do they ever live up to their title...when the settlers headed west and came upon this area im sure alot of them probably wanted to turn around...You also have the family oriented Bear Country U.S.A. where you drive through a number of animal enclosures filled with...bears....elk...big horn sheep...Buffalo....pronghorn antelope....and wolves...just before you come to Bear Country you have a chance to visit...Reptile Gardens....I can't forget to tell you about the delightful and inviting little town of Keystone on the way to Mt. Rushmore....you have a number of restaurants where you can dine in or sit at a table on the second floor balcony and look down on the bustling street below where tourist from around the country and from around the world are dropping in to candy shops and souvenir shops to find a t-shirt or to endure in some sweetness for their tastebuds to remember from their trip to Rapid City and the beautiful and scenic and historic state of South Dakota...

Here is an idea. CLEAN YOUR GUEST ROOMS !
Here is an idea. CLEAN YOUR GUEST ROOMS ! We tried for the entire 5 days to get our room cleaned. They told us they were too busy! WTH does that mean? Maid wouldn't give us towels. Wouldn't enter the room to empty trash. We finally threw it into the hallway. Had to go to front desk to get more, then requested room cleaned. You can say but that doesn't mean it will get done.

Such a family friendly city. We did the Ft Hays tour of Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sylvan Lake, supper and dinner show. Great tour highly recommend. Had 1 inch thi k 12oz prime rib at Colonial House..it was cooked perfect and only 24.99. I dream about it as it was that good.
The hotel sits atop a hill outside the main center of town but it was only a couple of minutes away by car from lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Beautiful views from the parking lot outside our room. There was a nice outdoor sitting area where we enjoyed our morning coffee. Two separate rooms and beds were comfy.
The price was right for my situation. It was close to some shopping and easy to drive to the airport. I just needed a single hotel room for the end of a business trip with an early morning departure from the local airport (note, hotel is NOT walkable from the airport but no hotels are in Rapid City).
The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant all the time. It made our stay throughout the week great! They really are a great group of employees! The location of the hotel is perfect if you plan to see all of the sites in the Hills.
The kids loved the pool area, especially the indoor water slide!
What a wonderful experience at this property. Everything was exceptional and beyond my expectations. The beds and pillows were perfect and I took advantage of room service for dinner time. The price was very reasonable and I would stay in this hotel again if ever in the area in the future
Location was good. Hotel was older but able to walk multiple places including downtown areas. Front desk went out of way to explain good areas to see, including scenic drives. Good experience for a low price. One of my surprices on my 40 day treck.
This was great value for money and we even got to use the hotel next doors swimming pool and hot tub. It’s basic and carpet not very clean but we had a comfy stay and we’re very happy for the money we paid. Would stay again when on a budget.
Relatively new Hotel, everything is clean and the breakfast options are great! Staff was super nice and helpful providing many options to spend the evening on the city. Nice place to stay - would definitely come back!
They charged unexpected money from my card a day after checkout. And I asked refund several times, they never refund. It's small amounts of money, but I really disappointed Radisson Hotels.
Historic hotel with modern amenities. Rooftop bar was scenic and food was delicious. Hotel is right in the middle of downtown Rapid City within walking distance to pretty much everything.
I liked the water pressure and that it had hard water. Every other hotel we stayed at in SD had showers that were hard to feel clean in after a shower.
