It was very cozy and the breakfast was fantastic. They had coloring sheets out for the kids. My only minor complaint is that the pool was quite chilly. But it was a very nice pool area. Price was high, but decently worth it

The location of the hotel was ok as it was on the main highway through town. The heater in the room work well and that was about all I can really say was decent.

I emailed the hotel directly Saturday but have not received any response. I paid $160 for a room only to be woken up at 8:30am Sunday morning the 31st by an extremely loud cacophony right outside my door. I opened it and it was a maintenance worker banging metal on metal on the railings. I asked him to stop and he went to talk to a manager, then proceeded to CONTINUE THE BANGING. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE given the rates you are charging! I was getting a migraine triggered so I had to leave the hotel, instead of having a nice, leisurely morning in PIerre. The fact that you put maintenance over your guests' comfort is sickening. You disregarded my request and literally forced me to leave the hotel. I requested a refund or comp night to show me you can do better, but have been ignored by the hotel. On a side note, I also paid $16+ tip for fish and chips, and received a plate of 75% french fries and four bite-sized pieces of walleye, not even filets. Ridiculous, especially given what happened the next morning when I was woken up and made to leave. Thanks Ramkota!

The friendly front desk staff helped us after we had a 23 hour drive getting there to book in earlier. Had a good two night stay.

I was not informed that there would be no maid or towel service. The room was only stocked with 2 bath towels, no shampoo or hand lotion. I found an extra $10.00 charge on my credit card. I called the hotel for an explanation, it was a resort fee and told it was to cover the continental breakfast which was advertised on there site as FREE and gym and pool fee. I told them I would not pay it, after some discussion, they said they would remove the charge. I am waiting for that to happen. This used to be a good hotel at a fair price. I won't stay again

The Capitol building was nice and the surrounding grounds lovely for a stroll. There were statues on most corners - would've been nice to know who they all were - only a few had plaques. Mass at St Peter and Paul's was good - nice priest at 5pm Saturday. "Mad Mary's" was great for dinner. The downtown was pleasant for an evening (hot) stroll

We loved the city!
We loved the city! Loved the Native American Museum, one of the best we've visited! People very friendly. Great airport. We spent quite a bit of time just driving through the community and found it beautiful, clean and orderly. Especially enjoyed walking around the state capitol building and were quite taken by the sculptures of prominent citizens, etc. If it wasn't for the weather, (we live in a desert climate), I could imagine living here. Zestos!! Donut Shop! Especially the island park - beautiful!! We ate at restaurants outside Pierre. We are a retired couple.

Pierre was just an ok place.
Pierre was just an ok place. It was about 3 hours to Mount Rushmore and just under 2 hours to the Bad Lands. There was not much to do in Pierre and not too many actual restaurants to sit at. Only 1 restaurant for a sit down breakfast that was not fast food. We were there for a wedding otherwise we would not have stayed there.

I love how this is the state capital of South Dakota but it's not a huge metropolis!! Beautiful scenery with the Missouri river running through it, just a nice stop to stay on the way to Black Hills or Yellowstone.
I made a mistake when booking the day I needed to stay their and the people at the front desk help me out and and change the day bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great as well will be staying their next time I am in Pierre!
Location was good and staff was friendly. The front desk staff was able to move my friend to a more accommodating room. The hotel is under renovation and has made updates and improvements in some areas but needs to do much more.
The hotel has a great location with plenty of parking. Pretty centrally located with good restaurants nearby. The breakfast is what you would expect for being included with your stay.
