Unusual hotel that looks like a factory and feels like an upmarket hostel. Despite this we enjoyed our stay there, mainly because of the excellent breakfasts and the really nice area around the hotel. Has a nice suburban community feel about the area with lots of shops and restaurants. On a tram line so great access to town and Fenway Park.

My stay was very nice. The room was comfortable, wifi was fast, and the hotel is directly across the street from the Porter Square T station. No complaints here, especially considering the incredible value compared to similar nearby properties. Staying at the Porter Square Hotel is a no brainer.

Friendly and flexible staff except in the Japanese Steakhouse where they were cold. The hotel staff promptly moved me from a room in the pot-smelling 14th floor to a smoke-free top floor when I complained about the smell. Good location.

Affordable, decent stay in an OK location,
Staff was friendly.
Breakfast was more like complimentary coffee and granola bars, but it's nice that it was included.

My room smelled like bad cologne and seemed musty and poorly ventilated. I was not informed that there would be an additional charge for parking. I was not informed about whether breakfast was included.

The church bells chiming every hour, on the hour, mixed with a very squeaky bed made for a disturbed night. The cups in our room had not been cleaned from the previous users and nor had the cutlery at the breakfast table. The hostess wasn’t there for a lot of the time, so any queries we had went unanswered, and the pastries at the breakfast table were not fresh.
I got the impression the hostess was trying to run a 5* establishment, but time and attention to detail were letting her down. Less is more!

The Boston Marriot Newton is a clean, well maintained hotel situated in close proximity to many key locations in and around Boston. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. The on-site parking is safe and secure. The breakfast is good, too. I would highly recommend the Boston Marriot Newton to any travelers looking for a good deal on a great hotel.

We loved the beautiful green spaces in Newton.
We loved the beautiful green spaces in Newton. The historic houses are huge and gorgeous and we loved going for drives through the neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and playgrounds, pools and fountains. We stopped by Cabot’s in Newtonville for ice-cream.
We stayed at Claudia's place around the Boston Marathon. It was a very warm stay. Claudia is a very helpful host, makes super breakfasts, is flexibel, the rooms are clean and situated in her beautiful well kept historical house. Near the T and even provide with a Charlie Card it is only 30 minutes ride form Newton Highlands to down town Boston..we highly recomend this characteristic place over any hotel.
If you are there for the Boston marathon you are about to meet other runners and that's great fun!
Claudia is an amazing host who really cares about her guests. She's always happy to make conversation, but also let's you be in case you're looking for some alone time. The B&B was located in a very cute part of Newton, it was super clean, everything according to expectation and I can only recommend. It is more than a place to stay, it's an experience. :)
The staff was polite, friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious, and very clean. The beds were comfortable - the pillows were not comfortable at all ( the pillows were much too soft - we had to use 3 just to have the neck and head support needed ). The hotel was within walking distance of the church where my sister-in-laws funeral was.
The adjacent "Social" restaurant and bar on the ground floor was good.
There is a small cafe across the road that does bagels and coffee, and there is a sports bar across the road that is also good. Otherwise, there is not much engaging near the hotel.
The front desk was very good offered go sign me up for Bonninton rewards so I got free WiFi after I complained about charges they took them off. AND the hotel bell hop guy was very nice man, very helpful. Let me use his phone 📱 to call a pizza delivery
This location is right by the Newton Highlands T stop with some nice food options within a block. The apartment was newly renovated and extremely clean. The host was very helpful and pointed us in the direction of some good food options.
The Village Bed and Breakfast was an amazing place to stay! It’s in a great location and is not too far from other popular cities like Boston. Claudia is a great host and provides a delicious breakfast every morning!
Andrew and Bruce are the best people in the front desk!
Housekeeping ladies, supervisors and maintenance guy are very friendly, efficient and responsive.
Corner Cafe across the road serves excellent breakfast.
I do not eat breakfast but the hotel charged me for including parking a car which I did not have
I went for my sister’s funeral
I was picked up and dropped off each day for the funeral services
Comfortable, expansive breakfast offering (it was like being back in Europe), great location convenient to the T and area restaurants. Thoughtful and gracious host. All good.
