Everything was just perfect. Great location and forest around the property. Fantastic and caring staff making us feel like home. Home made breakfast with apples from the fruit trees on the property. The room that is more spacious then it seems on pictures. Comfy beds. And extra that support the staff provided to accommodate our late night arrival. Perfect landing in US after a long transatlantic flight from Europe. Strongly recommend.

Broadstreet Inn was beautiful. I stayed in the Carriage House and it was even better in person, beautifully decorated, clean and quaint. Great location. True to the claim it’s a 2 minute walk to Broad Street where there are shops, restaurants and bars. Really, really great place to stay.

Wow. This place was even better than it's description and photos. Picturesque. To have a balcony with a stream passing by and a close view of the flowing stream from bedroom window was a high point. Really lovely staff, efficient and caring. Comfortable bed and great room. Fab breakfast with loads of nice choices. 6 minute walk to Nevada City high street. Free off-road parking. Fully recommend. A real 10/10.

This is a charming historic Gold Mining town with an abundance of artists and musicians. There is a vibrant foodie scene and breweries, shops, and galleries. It is quaint and scenic. There are lots of outdoor areas to explore as well. Close to Nevada City are other fun little tourist towns - Grass Valley, Auburn, and others. We could have spent many more days here. Looking through the county tourist guide, I noted that there are many fun activities going on in the area all year long. So I would advise people to contact the Nevada county (California) tourism bureau online and request a catalogue to plan a fun vacation. If you like music as we do, there is a Bluegrass Festival here and both Nevada City and it's adjoining town Grass Valley both have fine performing arts centers that attract great musicians from all of the country and the world!

We didn;t spend any time in the city but if the city is anything like the motel we stayed in for one night we would never go back. We spent our time in Grass Valley and it was pleasant. People were friendly and helpful. we stayed our second night at the Grass Valley Court Yard Suites. We were very pleased with the accommodations and friendly people.

Quirky, fun Nevada City!
Quirky, fun Nevada City! So many great restaurants, bars, live music venues. We went there for a music festival. The renovated theatre in town is beautiful. The people of this city really care about their town and while there is easy access to hiking and other rural charms it is sophisticated in a way I cannot really put my finger on. I took a close look at Pioneer Park this time and it is a large public facility with a beautiful pool and many other amenities for small town life.

Walking thru town was great and the Miners Foundry and the concert we saw there was fantastic. It is a long drive from Sacramento and would never spend the night again so in the future day trips only!
There are a number of fine qualities for this facility. The breakfast was fantastic. Far better than the typical continental breakfast anticipated. I grew up in a Nevada City area so I’m familiar with the environs and enjoyed the zen additions to the landscaping… typical pine forest with a bit of added eye appeal. The Queen Suite, where we stayed on the second night, was all that I expected it to be… well appointed and relaxing. I understand that a number of other rooms available are similar… but not all.
Stayed in Northern Queen Inn at the beginning of December to attend Victorian Christmas fair in Nevada City.
Liked the location. It's possible to walk to Nevada City downtown in about 20 minutes or to get there by car and park on free public parking if there are spots available there.
Liked the cottage is spacious: there are two separated by the door rooms - a bedroom and a living room/ dining room with a kitchenet space.
Liked the balcony with a view to the forest.
Great attention was given to comfortable climate control with heaters/air conditioning and air filters.Great location in the center of Nevada City allowing us to walk everywhere. Hosts were very responsive to our communications. Of note: recommend for anyone with walking difficulties to be aware of the need to be able to negotiate stairs as sleeping and living quarters are upstairs. Adorable kitchen and dining area downstairs.
The location was good for my needs but was not in the town center, as expected, and helped keep the price down compared to other options. It was much more affordable than all other options near Nevada City center. The parking was super easy and in front of the room. The bed was comfortable enough and clean. There was a small round table, two chairs, open closet, ironing board, dresser, TV, and in window AC/Fan.

It was false advertisement there was no breakfast or coffee at the hotel I no heat the first night second night was a space heater and it was very noisy so it made it hard to sleep at night, not to mention mold and how dirty it was And nasty smell in the room, mold and coffee grounds in the coffee maker. I am lucky I did not get sick from the mold.
This was the best rental we’ve stayed at! Great location just a few minutes from Nevada City downtown. Our family absolutely loved this place - it was sparkling clean & beautifully decorated. You can tell a lot of effort was put into this home to make it a perfect getaway. We loved staying here and are hoping to come back.
I was tired when i booked the room an was unaware it was a BNB, it was a nice surprise and even though i worked very late and showed up late the owner was very accomodating to me showing up late. The room was incredibly comfortable. probably the best slepe i have had at a hotel and i stay at a lot of hotels.
We took a cabin for 4 people. It was quite spacious and well equipped. The hotel is nestled in a forest of giant trees with a half-abandoned narrow gauge railway. As my daughter said, this is a very "mysterious place". The city is just 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car.
Beautifully renovated old historic building. We had stayed here in the "old days" and found the new hotel charming, beautifully decorated and, as before, in a perfect location to explore Nevada City. The restaurant is great too!
It's an amazing hotel. Very comfortable and great decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pasquale in the restaurant was excellent, as were the staff on reception who went out of their way to help me on a problem I had.
The room was comfortable enough other than the outside appearance. I believe the outside of the building was being remodelled. The hotel is situated close to the highway 49 ramp so getting about was very easy.
The morning breakfast is phenomenal! The free cookies are also really really good!
Parking is behind the B&B and the location is the best! Next to the Nevada City Theatre for concerts and all restaurants!
Great location to downtown Nevada City and to the Tribute trail. Room was beautifully decorated. I would recommend the falling water room with a view over looking the creek and waterfall.
