We were visiting the Shanandoah National Park and found this guest house nearby. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a Fridge, coffee maker and tv. The host, Julie, left notes about the local places to eat and gave advise on our arrival.

I liked that it was very close to the freeway and Washington DC , within one hour of Dulles Airport. I liked the very friendly staff, indeed not just friendly but helpful, especially Tabitha.

Reasonable value with unlimited coffee at breakfast. Speakeasy bar and restaurant was lively and used by non-residents which is a good sign. Food was good. Some nice old history books to read in main sitting area.

The room was adequate but apparently had not been cleaned properly. Used soap was in the shower and toilet paper was almost empty. Made me question how much effort had been put into cleaning the rest of the room.

The Motel 6 at this location was in a quiet lonely place, perfect for a weekend. The rooms were clean, very less guests, pool was clean where we enjoyed with family. I would obviously love to refer it to my friends.

Really nice place to just go and relax, we did not leave the property at any point of our stay. That being said, it made it abit more difficult not having a kitchen, you can't prepare anything. There is a refrigerator though, so I did bring a few things with us and we did find a place that delivered.
If you have plans to sightsee or anything like that, the Aloft is a great place to be.

Nice mountain scenery in the morning.
Nice mountain scenery in the morning. Other than that, it's a boring little town with no good restaurants or attractions nearby. The $75 cash deposit was a very unpleasant surprise and the room inspection at check-out is very unusual and ridiculous.
It was pretty well updated and the price for what we got was good. The staff were very nice and were glad to help with any issues. It was pretty clean minus the stain issues. There isn't a ton of stuff in the immediate area but we spent most of our time at Bryce Resort and Harrisonburg which were only 20-30 minutes away. There are some really nice mountain views as well.
Normally, we avoid Motel 6 but due to this one's location in Mount Jackson, we went for it. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room (102) was spotless.
Room was comfortable and very private. It was like being at Grandma’s house, but had hotel amenities, like a mini snack bar, fridge, microwave and Keurig.
