Moab is a tourist location and hotels prices etc reflect that. Do not expect value for money. The scenery and geographic history of the area is spectacular though. I would recommend a visit despite any negative points.

Loved the energy, people, and THE NATURE.
Loved the energy, people, and THE NATURE. Food and shopping were perfect - hiking and tours are incredible! Arches National Park was spectacular - I hope I can go back and camp a couple of nights there. The 4 x 4 Trex Hell's Revenge from Moab Tourism was thrilling, a little scary and fun! Good food - good shopping - good adventures and people.

Great area for outdoor activities and in close proximity to Arches National Park and Canyonlands. If you like hiking you could easily do a 3-5 day trip here to see all the sights; and if you like ATV'ing or off-roading there are plenty of options in this area!

Moab was a lovely little tourist town - a perfect gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
There are many cute shops - Indigo Alley was a standout for us. Wonderful selection of clothing, accessories and footwear.
We enjoyed Doughbird for donuts and coffee - they had a vegan chocolate dip donut that was heavenly!
Moab is super walkable, especially if you are able to find accommodations on the main drag.
We had three full days in Moab, most of which were spent hiking and exploring the parks. We could easily have spent another day or two checking out the shops and eateries in town!

We loved the ease of going to the parks.
We loved the ease of going to the parks. The town itself was hosting spring break, but honestly did not affect us at all. The town seemed less crowded during the following week. The parks were not overwhelmingly crowded, the people were very friendly and outgoing. It is a great town, with good restaurants and easy accessibility whether driving, walking or hiking.

We visit Moab every few years for the hiking.
We visit Moab every few years for the hiking. This year we went to mountain bike. Off season(Nov-early March) is best for more solitude. Amazing red rock country with a wide variety of activities for every skill level.
A great experience. Stayed in a one bedroom villa with a kitchenette that had views of Monument Valley. The villa was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Grocery store is close by if needed. Would recommend the villa but note that they’re located across the road from the main hotel and views are not as elevated as some of the main rooms. Also request a villa in the front row as the views are less obstructed.
This was the BEST hotel by far on our trip through Colorado and Utah. The layout ensures a great view from most any location in the hotel - especially from the pool. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous with a freestanding tub and separate shower. The decor is very modern and elegant. Absolutely perfect place to relax between adventures around MOAB!
The price was so much cheaper than other hotels in Moab, I was worried--but it turned out great! Facility is modern and very clean. Pool and hot tub were clean and the hot tub was hot! Good breakfast with sausage and eggs, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, everything you'd want. My room was very quiet at night. I was very pleased and would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is located few minutes from the entrance to Arches National Park, and about 2 miles to the center of Moab. We received huge room with sofa. Breakfast was served from 6am so visitors can enter national park before 7am (required entrance reservation). We stayed only for 1 night but I can recommend this hotel for longer stays.
My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Moab Sleep Inn. The beds were very comfortable and the room along with the entire hotel was clean and inviting. There was a nice variety of foods offered for breakfast, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through Moab.
This is an older hotel with a great location in downtown Moab. We walked a few blocks to have dinner at Dewey's restaurant (very good food and draft beer). The room itself was very comfortable and spacious, with armchairs, a king bed, and space for our luggage. Free parking in front of the room. We would stay again.
Have stayed during the offseason (Jan-Feb) a few times now, and the value is awesome. Very pet friendly, heated pool/hot tub, game room, and decent free breakfast. Location is in the heart of town and a short drive to most of Moab's major trailheads and parks. Wifi is reliable for Zoom calls. Staff were all great.
The location was right in downtown Moab and yet quiet. Very convenient to sightseeing and shopping in Moab. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We especially liked choices for breakfast provided before we left to go hiking in Arches. We would definitely stay at the Gonzo Inn again.
The best in Moab! After visiting Moab for 20 years - finally a world- class boutique hotel. Great downtown location, stylish appointments, attentive staff. We did not try the restaurant, but will next visit in two months. Best value hotel in Utah? Certainly the best I have found. Relax and enjoy.
It was a very comfortable and modern hotel, centrally located in Moab for walking to central attractions and restaurant. Excellent base for visiting Arches and Canyonlands NPs etc.
Modern decor and comfortable rooms of a good size, swimming pool and guest laundry. Nice large bathrooms.
We only spent one night in Moab to visit Arches NP. We chose Expedition Lodge is it seemed the best value for the price. The rooms were nice and clean, the kids enjoyed the pool and we could use the picnic tables for dinner :-)
Would always recommend Expedition Lodge for a short stay.
The hotel was wonderful. Staff was kind and enjoyable to talk with. The grounds and room were clean and tidy. And the location was a quick walk away from downtown Moab. When we come back, this will be the first place I'll check!
Great location in Moab, close to restaurants and shops. The hotel room had all the expected amenities, such as coffee and a microwave, along with a convenient and large sink area outside the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay.
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and always have great experiences. The beds are heavenly! Location is great - between ‘downtown’ Moab and the Arches National Park entrance.
I was super surprised to see how nice and clean this hotel was with being completely pet friendly! Keeping this hotel in mind for when we road trip through Moab again next year.
This hotel had a good location near all our activities in Moab and the downtown. We could walk to several restaurants. The room was comfortable and spacious.
