The location is wonderful. Although it is a dorm arrangement you have private bedroom and shared bathroom, restroom , full kitchen, sitting areas and outdoor space. My room also had a fridge. The bedroom is very simply furnished but perfectly comfortable. Owners are very responsive to text questions and helpful. Makawao - nearby town is a great little historic town and the countryside is lush.

Owners have done a great job at setting up the place. Decor is beautiful and the property is very spacious. Back deck and a front deck, fully furnished with Victorian vibes. All types of charging cables, coffee, tea, oats, granola bars, mini fridge, utensils.

I liked the car. It drives nice. There was some minor problems with tent. But owner quickly came and fixed it.
Car had a good music. Quick pick up and drop off.

The best camping/glamping/accomodation in Maui. We are sad we did not stay more nights in Maui. Sebastian and the team at Aloha Glamp were really helpful to accommodate Airport Drop Off and Collection for an extra charge. The Jeep was equipped with everything you need. Full gas, powerful engine, fresh cleaned bed sheets, clean towels and pillows for the pop up tent and a trunk full of utensils like cookware, stove with gas included, pots, french press for coffee, a cooler box which you can add ice and keep your drinks cold for two days and a pressure shower. We loved the pop up tent. You can install it in 2 minutes and pack it back up in another 2 minutes which means you can arrive later and start earlier and switch camping grounds. We camped at Olowalu on the beach and Wahi Nanea Place of Relaxation on the vulcano. The jeep was a wrangler with great offroad tires and loads of space in the back. We will definitely come again.

Ivana was an amazing host! Her and her family were probably the best part of choosing this accommodation, they were incredibly kind and great energy. Ivana gave us a comprehensive list of recommendations from a locals perspective which was very useful. Her daughter spent time after her busy work day cracking open a coconut for us which shows the level of care and effort they put in to their guests. We would highly recommend staying here just for the chance to meet Ivana and her family, we know we would 100% stay here again if back on Maui!
About the room; we had booked the business room with shared enmities but got upgraded to the private suite due to booking.com double booking that room. The private studio was spacious, it had everything we needed, we could have cooked several meals there but chose to eat out, and the bed was super comfortable.

Makawao has its own tequila distillery, some great shops and restaurants, and from locals all over the island, its own great yoga studio (although I didn’t try it myself). There is also a wonderful county park property, with great running, hiking, and mountain biking trails. I could spend a long time in this part of the island. Highly recommend!

Beautiful town. Very peaceful and tranquil.
Beautiful town. Very peaceful and tranquil. Not a big town or city with a lot of action but perfect for passing through and seeing the residential side. There is a strip of shops, restaurants, and cafes that are good stops. We ate at a very good breakfast cafe in the area with outdoor seating.

Makawao had several nice shops for gifts, art, plus clothes to pick out and try on for ourselves. There was a library where you could use computers or just sit quietly and read the local newspapers to gain better insight on how life in the islands is like plus find out what's happening when and where.
The outdoor spaces are beautiful. Even though many of the indoor spaces/amenities were shared with other guests we had a fridge in our room allowing a little more privacy. There were motion sensor lights in the hallway and in the bathrooms allowing us to move around without having to adjust to a bright light during the night. There are multiple types of spaces to stay in on one property to suit a variety of traveler needs ranging from spaces for tent camping, to hotel like rooms, to a private cottage.
The peaceful surroundings of the Upcountry area of Maui provided a great atmosphere for relaxation. The night's are very dark which made sleeping very easy. The owner's of the property are very kind and compassionate--they shared the fruit growing on their property with all the guests. The property has a stunning view of the stars with almost zero light pollution. I was fortunate to have clears skies on the night of the New Moon--the stars above brought tears to my eyes.
We found the place is really quiet at night, bed and pillow are very comfortable, price is good and shower is nice. We didn't meet the owner or any employees but we didn't have any trouble checking in. The room is small but we could pay a lot of more to get more space in other hotels, so no complaint. Just if you like a lot of space this place is not for you. Since we stayed here just for going to Hana and Haleakala so we are really happy with this place.

We were so lucky to find this little gem of a place. Banyan Tree is peaceful, beautiful, and had everything we needed. The owner, Helaina, was gracious and quick to answer any question or issue we had. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and inviting. The location is close to everything you would want to do in east Maui (nothing more than a 20 min drive). We can't wait to return!
This is one of the most calming places I have ever stayed - I loved it so much I would absolutely consider coming back to Makawao just to stay here! The rooms were spacious and clean, the meditation areas and hammocks were wonderful, and we had a great experience. John was very helpful with getting us checked in and Shane in the kitchen was fun to chat with - no complaints!
I literally loved every single thing about Lumeria. The salt water pool, the grounds, the breakfasts, the quiet. It was perfect. And it was also a good location with proximity to Haleakala entrance. It was nice to see upcountry Maui, which might actually be my favorite part.
It is such a cozy place. I never had to wait for the showers or bathrooms because there were more than enough for everyone. Everyone was nice and I got to meet people from other countries/cultures. When I come back to Maui, im going to stay at God's peace!
The accomodation is a nice big house in a very quite place, 5 minutes from Makawao. Very nice common areas, such as the kitchen and the lanai. We found bananas available for free and we had a nice free breakfast every day. The room was clean and nice.
