There are no places on the beach with food or drinks available, like tiki bars beach side restaurants at least not that we seen,. The beach itself is very nice. There are many places to go and shop and eat if you don't mind driving around a little. Overall a good area.

We come here annually for the NCAA beach volleyball championships and for general relaxation. The weather was beautiful, the first time that it hadn't rained in our many trips here. The beach is clean, although parking close to the main beach is only moderately adequate. There are many excellent restaurants in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach and the choice of cuisine seems endless. If you like "southern" Mexican food this is the place for you as there is a disproportionate number of Mexican restaurants in this area. All in all, I recommend the Gulf Shores area as a great vacation destination point.

Gulf Shores is a beautiful area.

Gulf Shores is a beautiful area. The residents were very friendly in every establishment we went to. We ate at a different restaurant each night and never had a bad meal. There were plenty of things to go and do during the day but we enjoyed relaxing on the beach each day.

    We just loved the beach.

We just loved the beach. We also visited other areas like the USS Alabama and Fort Morgan. We enjoyed the beach as it was not super crowded, we spent an entire day on the beach and was able to rent an umbrella and chairs for the entire day (great price). We did want to fish, but were a bit confused as to where to do that. We thought the pier but it was closed. We also have a service dog and the beach stated no dogs (we do understand why) but then we got to the beach and see people walking their dogs? The beach is soft and white and just fun to play in as well. The water was chilly but it was early march. We did get in though...because its the beach! Lifeguards were on duty most of the days as it was quite windy and seas were really choppy a couple of days. We flew our kite, built sandcastles, looked for seashells. Took night walks on the beach. We found great places to eat. Ralph and Kakoos over by the USS Alabama, Acme Oyster company (chargrilled oysters are a must), and the Gulf shore Steamer.....OMGOODNESS BEST restaurant!!! We had a seafood platter for 4 (there were 2 of us) and yes we ate it all, crablegs, shrimp, oysters, muscles, corn, potatoes, appetizer of crab cakes. oh and some alcholic drinks...yessss! and topped it off with keylime pie! This was a great rip!

Plenty of dining and shopping locations, and great beaches. Too many great dining places to name, we tried a different restaurant almost every day and all were great and reasonable priced. Getting around Gulf Shores was very easy walking, driving, or biking.

Beautiful home, awesome views of the beach, sand, and sunsets even though construction was going on. No doubt, wish they would have already been moved out, but we still got to enjoy ourselves. Plan to stay there in the future.

LWThe motel was very easy. to locate and the staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable with plenty of linings for the bed and bathroom. And for it to be a pet friendly motel it was very clean and no pet hair in the bed. The last time I stayed at a hotel the was pet hair all in the bed, so I'm very thankful for no pet hair in the bed..I would and did recommend your place to 2 different people and 1 stayed there to, ver all it was a very nice place and the door is a very small fix.

It was fine for a weekend getaway. We were only in the room to sleep and shower, otherwise we were out exploring or at a volleyball tournament. The beds were very comfortable and it’s the first hotel room I’ve ever been to that had 3 full-size beds in a room. The AC worked okay. I also liked that they had breakfast in the morning. It was very interesting seeing the pool on top of a carport and they kept the pool area fairly clean and smoke free.

Didn't go to breakfast. We only stayed 2 nights. It was great. Right on the beach. The pool was very clean. Everyone very nice. Close to Walmart. All the appliances worked. They were older but very clean. I haven't been to gulf shores since I was a teenager. Would definitely come back and stay y'all again.

It was right on the beach, with balcony view of the Gulf; the room was spacious and clean. The Island Pancake, inside the hotel, the breakfast was delicious (must buy). The multiple pools were appealing too, and light up red at night so you could still see the waves crashing in at night.

The Lodge at Gulf Shores is at an incredible location, right on the beach. We had a room on the city view side, however, the views of the park and water inlet were great. There is a dog park right across the road from the hotel. One of the best we have been to with our dog.
