A beautiful area, with lots to do, if you enjoy hiking and sightseeing. The nearby Colorado Natl. Monument is, in my opinion, one of the most spectacular parks/monuments in the entire country. The Mainstreet area is great--with some decent restaurants and even a little funky nightlife.

Possibly the nicest downtown I've ever seen.
Possibly the nicest downtown I've ever seen. Plenty of park benches and focal points. Only problem is that most stores do not open until 10am and close at 5pm. They are missing out on dinnertime shoppers. Lots of nice restaurants but if you go for dinner after 5pm, most stores are already closed.

I have lived and visited Grand Junction several times and really enjoy the town at times; although the staff at the Motels/ and restaurants are friendly, other employees and staff at other location and convenience stores; are not as friendly and can be very rude..

Grand Junction, CO is so beautiful! The surrounding mountains are awesome! The Colorado National Monument is an easy drive and WORTH it! The locals are very friendly and so helpful! This is a destination everyone should experience at least once! Don't forget to see Palisade which is 10 miles up I-70. They have the BEST peaches (June-August) I have EVER tasted!!! I've traveled to Grand Junction numerous times over the years for bike events and for passing through on way to Moab, Utah. I've always liked Grand Junction. The central business area is great, love the bicycle art along the street.
Grand Vista is an older (a little dated) hotel.
Check-in and check-out is friendly and easy. Great front desk staff!
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Clean and nice bathroom and shower.
Pool and Hot Tub (jets were not working but warm water was nice switch between the pool and the hot tub) are indoors.
Nightly rate is on the cheaper side but there is a car parking rate of $14/ night. Breakfast bar with meat is $18/person.
Again, comfortable place and kind staff.
First time in Grand Junction and I planned to do more sightseeing. However, after two days of lots of driving, I wasn’t feeling great. The hotel’s location made any more driving unnecessary! Located along a cute stretch of shops and restaurants and surrounded by public art, the hotel was a great home base, and I enjoyed Grand Junction a different way than planned!
Note: some shops and restaurants weren’t open on Sundays, at least not during the pandemic.
On my recent trip to the US I stayed in 7 hotels. This was easily the best. Primarily this was down to the staff at reception. They were friendly, efficient and willing to help.
Although some hotels are more flashy, as a solo traveller I liked that there was a big reception area, with drinks available, comfortable seating and space to work, chat or read.
I arrived on Amtrak and this hotel was very handy.
This new hotel adjacent to Colorado Mesa University couldn’t have been nicer. The room was very comfortable and we loved the modern bath with huge walk-in shower. We couldn’t get same day reservations at the restaurant - but we enjoyed drinks and then full service menu dinner at a quiet table in the bar. Great stay in Grand Junction. We will stay there again when we are in the area.
The recently updated rooms were stylish, comfy, and efficient. The staff were very down-to-earth, friendly, and showed compassion in a difficult situation. If I am in need of lodging in Grand Junction, I will choose this hotel again. It's not fancy, but it's homey and welcoming, which is what I loved best! This was a bright spot in an otherwise crappy day.
Newish hotel with good sized rooms access to MESSA University gymnasium plus lounge/meeting room facilities and a good restaurant.. it ticked all our boxes!
Our waitress in the restaurant was great informative with lots of tips and ideas for places to visit..she went above and beyond
Lovely lady on the front desk and nice cleaning staff
Coffee available in the morning
Easy location to downtown
Got the room for very cheap - booked almost 6 months in advance though
Shower was good
Price for the location is excellent, 5 minutes from downtown at half the cost of main street hotels, clean and quiet. Walk to restaurants and quickie mart next door. Next to Interstate 70 also.
The Grand Junction Palomino Inn was clean and very comfortable after a long day of travel. Conveniently located a few miles from friends and restaurants. We would definitely book again!
This was a clean and comfortable hotel for a great price. Beds were good, easy access to interstate and downtown Grand Junction. Restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and helpful.
Honest place to sleep one night and at a good price. Sheets and towels were clean, it had air conditioning in the rooms and they let us put somethings on the hotel fridge.
