I LOVE Fredericksburg.
I LOVE Fredericksburg. I love history and there is so much history here. I wish I had more time to see everything. There is a lot of shopping for those who like shopping, and just so much to do. This is a great town and I will be returning. I do wish they had more activities and stores that allowed dogs though.

The location and customer service was good.
The location and customer service was good. I enjoyed the fire pit downstairs. It allowed us to mingle with other guests and make new acquaintances. The rooms were a nice size but there was dog hair in our room as this is a pet friendly facility. It was not an astronomical amount but still visible to my companion while we were there.

A beautiful city which was exceptionally clean throughout, holding a lot of charm and history. They have done a tremendous job in keeping the history alive and available for tourists to get a taste of what it was like and the horror of the Civil War.
There were so many restaurants and shopping centers out from the historical district.

Though I was primarily visiting to meet friends and get on the AutoTrain the next day, we did tour downtown Fredericksburg and found it a quaint town with many nice shops and old but well maintained historical buildings. Free parking was easy to find. The town was clean and appeared to be very safe.

Fredericksburg is amazing place if you love history and small town field. The history and shops are super fun to go in and out of as you stroll down the main street of downtown Fredericksburg. If you need bigger better shopping or want to do outlet shopping there are tons of stores, not too far from the downtown area. I would highly recommend Fredericksburg anyone who’s just looking for a nice place to take a walk or go on a historic tour
The rooms were clean...the staff was very friendly and helpful...I was with a group of 5 other people and our rooms were not ready when we checked in so Jen the Manager accommodated us with an upgrade to premium rooms for all of us and we were able to get rooms beside each other which was really great...restaurants and shopping malls were close by and to top it off our event was only 4 miles from the hotel...everyone was very pleased with everything...thank u Red Rood Inn in Fredericksburg for a memorable stay...

Breakfast had a feel of B&B, with everybody sitting around one table, which leads to interesting conversations. Good variety of fresh and healthy breakfast food and excellent coffee.
Good information on how to deal with staying in a very old building
We booked this room last minute on our travels and were not sure what to expect. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were hoping for a walkable location and this was exactly that in a very cute area close to restaurants and shops. The price was a little higher than some other hotels on our search, but worth it if you are looking for a walkable location!
room was 75 degrees and up--I drove through the heat wave from Miami up to VA and then was in a hotel room that was another oven. The coffee at breakfast was awful (in my book, that's the only thing you really have to nail and they failed), hallways smell like cigarettes. It felt like a much much cheaper hotel they did a facelift on and nothing more, would never stay there again
The hosts were great and very accommodating. We were not there for river activities, but the house is right on the river and would be great for a family with kids wanting to swim. Lots of open space around the house (several acres). Everything we needed was provided in the house. Lots of extras. We used the house as a base for visiting historic sites in and around Fredericksburg.
This hotel needs more help, only been open for 2 months, I check in at front desk I only had 1 room it had me down for 2 rooms for 2 nights WRONG, the Room was DIRTY, Bed & floors. The hotel manager came & AGREED. Ch room but didn't had a king only queen only a little discount. Now I notice they charged for 2 rooms. Never EXTENDED STAY EVER or booking. Com Velma
Holiday Inn has some of the most comfortable beds. Not too soft and good for back, also good pillows. Always clean. Front desk very polite and helpful with information about Fredericksburg. The restaurant had simple menu, bartender she works very hard!
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and better than most standard hotel breakfasts! The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again!
