room was comfortable and quiet. Beds were a bit soft but not terrible. Bathroom and shower were nice but bedroom floor seems like it could use a mopping. We chose the Eureka Motel 6 because it was the cheapest room along our route that still had a fair rating.
Set 13 km from Humboldt State University, Super 8 by Wyndham Eureka offers rooms with air conditioning in Eureka. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi.

This place was AMAZING!!!!! The location made it easy to find. The room was very spacious and clean, even the beds were perfect! I will be staying here again, the next time I make it to California!!
The 100 percent smoke free Comfort Inn Humboldt Bay is located just minutes from the Sequoia Park Zoo, Humboldt State University and College of the Redwoods.
Gorgeous redwoods and lots of hike. The town has several fun and unique shops. I highly recommend Ramones Bakery for breakfast and lunch. The Sea Grill offers fine dining and very good steaks and prime rib for non-seafood folks.

Eureka was very pretty just not a lot to do, the mall really wasn't what I would consider a mall. The homeless population is pretty large. I wish they had more options for eating, lots of Mexican restaurants but not many American ones. If you drink diet coke be prepared, we had a very hard time finding them.

Very interesting town I wish I had more time to spend there and explore. Apparently not so safe, a lot of homeless and drug users in the old town part, but nova-days that happens everywhere… the town has something magical about it, definitely great past there somewhere… too bad its not being cultivated. Locals seemed quite interesting and friendly especially at coffee shops and bookstore downtown.

Great nature retreats around the city.
Great nature retreats around the city. Several amazing hiking opportunities. Fantastic views of the majestic sequoia and redwood trees. Plenty of alternatives to go dining out (although most might close a litor early).

Eureka had some cute shops and we had dinner at a really good restaurant called Sea Grill. It's close to the Redwoods, with all kinds of things to see and places to hike, and many beaches on the ocean, with beautiful views.

We went to visit the zoo.
We went to visit the zoo. It was a great experience to see the animals at the zoo. We walked the elevated walk in the zoo up in the giant trees and saw a nature walk outside the zoo. We asked about that walk in the cafe at the zoo. We walked the nature walk outside the zoo and it was so peaceful.
This hotel, although on the main drag of Eureka was still very quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful with sight seeing. The room was clean they had frig and microwave which was Great. It has some age to the room but did not have any smells. They provided a heater and a fan but it doesn't have AC but if you know about this area you do not need AC. It is located in a unique area and this area has tons of stuff to do. I thought the location was wonderful
I don't know what people are expecting when they are booking this cabin. It is a camping cabin, for sleeping. So for that expectation it was very clean and MUCH cheaper than all the dirty looking hotels in Eureka. The bathroom was also very clean considering how many people are going in and out. I don't think I would stay here for an actual camp experience but for a one night stay over it was perfect.
Don't mistake it as a hotel! Redwood is an RV and camping place with cabins for those who don't want to stay in a tent or don't have an RV.
The cabins are very nice but very simple. There are beds, light and a place to sit. But each cabin has its own patio, too.
What positivly surprised me was that the bathroom facilites where quite clean and not over-crowded.
Eureka is an interesting location … not the “safest” place … however, I believe this hotel is by far the BEST place to stay in the whole town of Eureka! It’s very historic and beautiful on the inside. The hotel is older but has a lot of history. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was great! If you’re traveling to Eureka, STAY HERE!!
It’s a beautiful old building. This has nothing to do with the hotel but there was a vintage car rally when we were there which we thoroughly enjoyed. I thought Eureka was quite nice. There were in fact a lot of homeless but they did not bother us when we were there. Go to Los Bagels close by for breakfast. Bed was good. Shower was good.
Room was a quick walk behind old town Eureka, with lots of beautiful Victorian architecture, shops, street art and walks along the riverside. Free parking under the building, protected from the elements.
There is a cute divey-looking bar next door, attached to the building. We didn't stop in but it's there.
Danny at reception gave us a very warm welcome and provided info regarding our room and location. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Location to waterfront was excellent. The whole hotel setting was pleasant with how rooms are laid out and we liked that the parking was below the rooms.
not a thing we got there there was a homeless encampment bye the vending machine and people kept walking around looking in the windows of our car while we were in the hotel room we could see them out the windows. we felt unsafe to stay there so we left and didn’t stay there and we booked a new hotel
Central location (there is a supermarket over the road) with a quiet and comfortable room. Other reviews have mentioned loud traffic noise and noisy guests or homeless people near the hotel - we did not experience any of this. It was a good place to stay for one night whilst passing through.
