I did not get to stay in Desmet due to granddaughter ill!! But have been there numerous times!! I’d you have children take them to Laura Wilder Homestead!! My grandchildren love it! Do it every year!!

De Smet is a nice little town. We are big Laura Ingalls fans, and it's very special to come here and gain a new perspective on the books and the realities of life on the Prairie back in the late 1800s
