The inn had a really cute porch and we were upgraded to a spacious suite with kitchen, which was very convenient. It's super close to the beach, only a few minutes walk to all the boardwalk fun! I also loved the back porch and garden, there were cute dogs there. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location was right in the center of activities. I was easily able to walk to beach, restaurants, live music, shopping, and fireworks. The room was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the outdoor shower. A unexpected perk was having a grocery store fully stocked with food and wine right next door. I even found a book store within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. I also found a service to set up a chair and umbrella for me on the beach at a very reasonable fee.

The Carolina Beach area has really come up over the years with a lot more families and others staying in the area. My biggest complaint though is with parking. I purchased a parking pass to be able to park anywhere in the Carolina Beach area. Unfortunately, I still had to pay for parking in certain areas for some odd reason. Why offer vacationers a parking pass around the Carolina Beach area, but still have areas that still require you to pay anyway. And, on top of that, the price for parking it astronomical. The boardwalk area parking is almost $28 for 2 hours of parking, only 2 hours. Carolina Beach needs to change that aspect of the experience for vacation goers. If no changes are made, people will find other beaches to visit instead of vacationing with Carolina Beach.

I love the beach, but it honestly made no sense at all for Havana Alley’s not to allow you to do any outdoor dining unless you were drinking, you know some folks in this world don’t drink, but still enjoy the beach.
I also received a parking ticket after I had already paid online because I received a text to prove that I paid….

This was my first time in Carolina Beach, and I can tell you what it looked like to me - a place way overbuilt, like someone just wanted to cram in as many buildings as possible and make a killing on all this development. Do the officials in CB want a resort destination that vacationers will want to come to? If you do, pull up your socks and start working. A town has to have more than a lot of houses with a small amount of businesses to back it up. You guys make way more money than I do - you know what to do. CB could be an awesome destination, you just have to make it happen. Godspeed.

Carolina Beach is my favorite!!
Carolina Beach is my favorite!! Love the boardwalk and its accessibility. The restaurants and shops are wonderful. We go at least once a year, if not more often. We love that it is very dog friendly too.

Carolina Beach is my favorite place!! I love it so much that I hope to retire there!! Look forward to coming every year!!! Small beach town feel with ability to drive golf cart anywhere you need to go on the island!

We checked many websites of everything in Carolina Beach...
We checked many websites of everything in Carolina Beach before going there. None of the websites said places were closed. When we arrived, almost everything was closed and we had nothing to do. There were no activities to do and only a few places to eat for 2 days and 2 nights.
The hotel was extremely clean, I would imagine so they have a 💯 sanitation grade. I will add a pic of that. Every piece of our room was immaculate. Not a bit of stretch on this review. The staff was super friendly and I personally like it's a no smoking hotel of course but, also no pets aloud, which don't get me wrong I love pets deeply but, I've stayed in pet friendly hotels before and had dogs barking all hours of the night. I give this hotel 10 stars if I could.
We have had some horrible customer service experiences at other hotels (different brand) in the past 2 years. This property at Carolina Beach went above and beyond to provide us not only with comfort and cleanliness, but professional curtesy that extended from General Manager, front desk, and housekeeping. The view was outstanding across the ocean. We have always searched out a Marriott property when we travel. Unfortunately, they are not always available.
This is an older motel that has been updated. Clean rooms are inviting, oceanfront view is wonderful and the staff very friendly. Two buildings make up the Golden Sands property. One building has an indoor pool, the second building has an outdoor pool.
We had a king bed room with a refrigerator,microwave and two small sofas. The room had a balcony in which to sit and enjoy the ocean view. Would definitely stay here again. Very pleased with our stay
Great property and location! Was in walking distance of Carolina Beach and had a great underground pool nearby and hot tub. Was very clean! The host was very friendly and responsive! It was nice to use the codes for the condo door and the gate that allowed access to the beach! Was nice there was a lot of beach accessories towels and toys provided in the closet. The parking was right in front of the condo. Had a great stay!;)
Oceanfront. Affordable. Clean. Well cared for. Although an older property, they take pride in keeping things clean. Lovely deck with sparkly lights hanging overhead. Linens smelled clean; like lavender. Fresh paint. There were workers replacing wood 2x4s on deck & stairs. And the ferns were a nice touch. Lorna was quick to respond & assist.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and could look out and see the beach, who could ask for more. The hotel is in a great location so you didn't have to use a car to get to great places to eat. I would definitely stay again. would recommend breakfast at Kate's and dinner at Vinny's.
Carolina Beach Inn is a fabulous place to stay in Carolina Beach. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for our stay. The staff were friendly and the self check-in made arrival very smooth and expedient.
The hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything. You can walk on the boardwalk down to the beach or walk to the shops and restaurants next to the hotel. The hotel was very clean.
I liked the location, close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The place is impeccable, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this hotel, just bring cash with you.
Oceanfront, great location, friendly staff. Ample parking and low crowd for our stay in late March. Worked great for an affordable, simple little weekend away with the kids.
The hotel was right on the beach with a great view of the ocean and the tiki bar. I could walk to other places of interest and restaurants as well as the boardwalk.
Everthing, the complimentary breakfast was right on point, (a great way to start the day). We will most definitely be revisiting the hotel and area this summer.
