Space X is not open to the public, but it is worth seeing from the outside. Take Hwy 4 out of Brownsville, but watch for potholes! Brownsville is near the last battle of the civil war, and historic markers are in the area. The city is a mixture of old and new, is generally very clean, but does have a high crime rate.

I had a horrible experience with the daytime manager named Erica, one of the most unprofessional, unpleasant individual i have ever come across. I had a 2 night stay the first night my wife went to the hospital and spent most of the night at the ER. Night shift attendant was wonderful. Next day in the morning was woken up by loud banging noices and found out there was construction near our room. I called front desk a little irritated from the loud construction asked Erica how long was noice going to last my wife needed rest. She barked at me saying it was going to last a week and if I didn't like it I can get a refund and leave. I said we could have been told there was going to be construction going on. She again said I could leave with a refund. She didn't even offer a solution like moving me away from construction or discount I got irritated with her attitude so I said F U I'll stay. 5 min later there was a knock at the door and she kicked us out saying no we weren't staying and we could leave with a discount. She kept sending staff every couple of minutes to make sure we left at one point sent a male staff who just walked in without knocking violating our privacy my wife and teenage daughter were in the restroom with door open,so I yelled give us a minute!! When I went to the front desk she mockingly laughed and said you get no refund with a childish grin saying bye bye , super unprofessional. Don't stay here I've seen other reviews where she's done the same to other guests. I don't know what game she was playing or scam she was running because she should have know our stay was non refundable so why would she offer that option more than once. Erica needs to not be in that manager position what scam are you running here?!?!

There is not much to do we visited south Padre Island which is like 40mins drive from hotel, went to different restaurants taco Palenque really good food, antojitos yolis good tacos, IHOP what can I say, Sunrise mall, cinemark 10 needs more updates in seating but can't complain for the price of $1.30/person. We rented a pool at mi ranchito nice place not cheap $350 all because we couldn't use the one in our hotel too crowded. We visited the new Main event center really expensive but we knew spent over $500 just for arcades and food was separate. Pretty much that's all you can do there with family. The have good carwash there my car was sparkling clean free vacuum use. Easy to get around town. We also went to sunrise mall movies it was nice. There are stores pretty much everywhere. People are nice. My kids had a great time at the beach and pool we rented. Zoo can't say more than it was expensive for most of the animals to be nowhere to be found so we watched trees and birds 😂.

Check in thru a window it’s not good specially in day time .

Check in thru a window it’s not good specially in day time . Old furniture and very uncomfortable bed and pillows. They also gave me the wrong room and One other thing that bothered me the most is why book on line if they don’t even ask for the PIN number they send you. They ask you for everything when they should have all the information on their computer and only ask you for your license and method of payment if you haven’t already paid on line. Never again will I stay there.

The vacation was to go to South Padre beach but we needed something cheaper than what was offered at South Padre so we opted for Brownsville; 28 mins away. We enjoyed our stay and had fun. Though at first, we were disappointed with the appearance of our hotel when we arrived as it is one of those opened hotels, soon realized most hotels in the area were also opened and so were some at South Padre- the hotels at South Padre appear old looking than the hotel we got. There are nearby convenience stores and eateries. People are friendly. Please use sunscreen even if you are dark.

seemed poor, sprawling, total car culture! Good tacos and close to the border and my project in Matamoros. Uber and Lyft were easy to get back to hotel but several mornings i could not get a ride to the border. but Taxis were easily available.

There was nothing to like at all. No breakfast included. No coffee maker or coffee in rooms. This is the 2nd dirtiest hotel we stayed in so far during our road trip. Housekeeping staff hung around in front of room as management couldn’t see them We asked them not to enter the room. I came out of the shower and saw door closing.

Nothing. Booking.com failed to inform us the the hotel did not accept the booking. We arrive to face no room and had to find alternative accommodation. Booking.com couldn’t even be bothered to call me back (3 times) to help with alternative arrangements. We were totally let down by Booking.com and will never use you again.

Great place to stay for ecploring Starship. Clean, friendly staff and an invoice for a Booking.com reservation is not regular in US!!!! Wifi connection could be better and faster. Also brainless pickup driver could turn off theiir historic exauster at night. Texas is now Cybertruck country . They are more silent.
