This is my 2nd time staying and for good reason. The house is so quaint, clean, cosy , super well equipped and the location is fantastic. Everything you could possibly think you might need to bring is already there for you!! Coming from Ireland both times this place feels like a home away from home. I love everything about this house . So handy to get to places like Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Asheville and Weaverville which are all gorgeous.
Overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, this Asheville hotel is 11 minutes’ drive from the famous Biltmore Estate. Features include an outdoor pool, hot breakfast, and free WiFi.

Room was clean and comfortable. Large enough with the things you would expect.

Black Mountain is a beautiful small town with lots of small stores, restaurants and eateries, gorgeous hiking trails for all levels of fitness - we loved it.
Taco Billy's serves yummy breakfast tacos, with vegetarian options. The Veranda serves delicious sandwiches, My Father's Pizza makes great Pizzas. I didn't enjoy the food at "Trailhead" (I had the trout filet. the fish was tasty and fresh, everything else served with it was "meh").

A beautiful, quaint, artsy little town with a super little downtown area to wander and explore. Great restaurants and gift shops. If you're not used to driving on treacherous mountain roads just take it slow and easy, and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Go into town, park the car and let your feet wander around to all there is to offer. My husband's only disappointment was that we didn't see any bears, lol!

Our stay here was wonderful.
Our stay here was wonderful. The hotel was clean everywhere and beautifully furnished. The view from our room was spectacular. The bed was comfortable with different thicknesses of pillows ( Me- puffy, my husband- not as fluffy) The shampoo and conditioner were very nice. I liked everything about our stay. Only one small thing, the hot water pot tasted like coffee.

A fabulous little town and a great place to get some head space. Lots of art and craft shops, plenty of places to eat. However, if you are looking for something simple, I struggled to find such. Lots of places of interest in or around the area. It is all very clean, no litter, and the locals clearly take a good deal of pride in their town. Everybody seemed very friendly, nobody was trying to hurry you. Crossing the roads can sometimes be a bit of a gamble, so keep your wits about you. I would recommend taking a walk to the nearby Tomahawk Lake. The houses on the roads leading to it are magnificent, as are those surrounding the lake itself.

I won’t be back. No longer a lovely mountain town.
I won’t be back. No longer a lovely mountain town. Now an artsy tourist trap. If you would enjoy traffic congestion, 30 art galleries, overpriced food and VERY pleasant people then this is the place for you.
Check in was quick and efficient. Staff happy to engage if you want a small conversation. Staff very pleasant. Room clean and tidy. Hotel is located at one end of Black Mountain, but within easy walking distance. Bed was comfortable. Tub was of a size that you could soak (important to us Brits!) Dollar General nearby for things you may have forgotten. Microwave and fridge all working. In the main, quiet, not paper thin walls.
Very clean. Netflix, Hulu available. Full size frig. Washer and dryer included. Covered carport. Quiet location. Black Mountain is wonderfully scenic and close to other attractions (Chimney rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Asheville). Also, there are great restaurants, coffee shops and boutique shopping in Black Mountain. Nice shower and bed (the main room bed is crazy high).
What a beautiful hotel. It was in a great location; walking distance right into the wonderful town. It was really fun at night too as there was a lovely restaurant in the hotel and a nice bar to sit at and listen to music. Dinner was great too. Since the hotel is old, the rooms had a lot of charm with antique features. Be aware tho, there are no TVs in the rooms.
This is a very basic low-cost motel, so we had a very basic room. We were so very pleased to find that it was very clean!!! No chemical clean smell, just pure fresh clean including all bedding and carpet! No musty smell, no cigarette smoke smell, and no odors. Nice location quite close to the the Black Mountain village. We will definitely stay here again!!!!
Hotel seems new. Our room and common areas of the hotel are cozy plus squeaky clean! The lady at the front desk who checked us in was really nice. She gave me all the infos I needed. Good parking area. indoor Pool , small gym and a garden. Near the main Highway. Affordable. Felt very safe. Exceeded our expectations. Will def stay there again!
We loved this comfortable and homy feel. We stopped for one night on our way back to SC and it was the Prefect place to unwind a little after a few hotels. The pup especially loved the yard.
I hope to be able to stay again but for longer.
I absolutely loved the huge bathroom with plus size friendly shower and rub. 😁

The location was perfect for our visit to Asheville, Black Mountain and the surrounding area. Location is convenient to restaurants, shopping and local attractions. Very quiet neighborhood assures a good night's sleep and peaceful moments enjoying the front porch.
The rooms were comfortable and clean and very modern. Wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit every morning. Loved the fact we were able to walk into town. All staff were very friendly and kept the hotel running like clockwork. Views from room were amazing.
Inn Keeper's tradition in saying grace over the breakfast meal and the start of the day; Outstanding breakfast; great warm, friendly staff; Outstanding dinner; Location, within walking distance of historic Black Mountain
The room was ok the shower had black mold in it .I think it's haunted we heard some very weird noises at night that kept waking us up.would I stay there again probably not there are nicer hotels around there
The area was wonderful with lots of homelike aesthetics, the hotel was an antique and very special! A lot of old architecture you could see in the hotel which made it better. The room was very nice indeed.
We loved the location. Very convenient and peaceful sitting on the porch.
Breakfasts were delicious and our dinner was outstanding, especially the coconut cake. The best I’ve ever had.
Everything about this place was outstanding and I highly recommend it to visitors to Black Mountain. I will be returning to Black Mountain and will try to book this again. Thanks.
Comfortable, clean, friendly! This is our family go to hotel whenever we visit black mountain! Walkable to town and central to all things Black Mountain!
