Absolute nightmare. When we arrived, they didn’t have our booking. You need to climb up the stairs to the 2nd floor to “check in” and no one is helping. Staff barely speaks any English and they are the most unhelpful people I’ve met working in hospitality. There’s an entire construction site next to the property- be prepared for all day noise and dust. There was a drunk person trying to enter our room at 3am - informed the property manager and I’m yet to get a response a week later. Oh, and the WiFi doesn’t work and also there’s no reception whatsoever. AVOID!!!!!

We really enjoyed the staff and the close location by the beach. Furthermore, we had an incredible wrap around porch that allowed us to rest outside and we were always in close proximity to the pool.

Paje is a beautiful town, best one of the island. Atmosfeer is good, people are very friendly. There is also lots of delicious local food available, just don't go to much to the western places but visit local places so the people of Paje can do there business. The beach is perfect, especially for kite surfing. You must visit Mr Kahawa for one of the best coffees and friendly staff! Go around on the island on bike or rent a scooter it's so nice to see the litle local villages and meet the most friendly locals!

I personally prefer the more relaxed atmosphere where the staff are not so ‘on top’ of you
I booked 2 suits unfortunately one was on top of the bar and kitchen so it was quite noisy until midnight
The second suit was bottom floor access to the beach but the beach beds were full of clothes just dumped there
When I mentioned it I was told that it was ok
Not really very good for 2 suits for 500€ a day
Needless to say the next day we changed hotels to a more relaxed one more to my liking
Not to say that the hotel was bad just not for me

Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north.
Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north. Best place for kite surfing. The tide can influence the possibility of swimming therefore if you want beach/sun/swimming you better choose north, Kendwa.

Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there.
Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there. ATM, bars, beach kitesurf mostly. If you want to party all night then it might not be your place. If you love watersports and laid-back people then you are in the right spot. Visited Nungwi, but preferred Paje.

Good nice beach front . A very authentic scenery ,see farming and fishing going on.excellent if you like kitesurfing .Restaurand and cocktails bars ave plenty full. Good for see food
The main road of town is lively with shops restaurants .
On the other end It is full of beach boys and girls constantly hassling you.
Be prepared to encounter some poverty which can be sad
The hotel was an experience by it self, walking through the hotel for about 1 minute and you will reach the beautiful beach of Paje. The location by the beach was superb, although you will have to go through the central market from land to reach the hotel but you will simply love it. The staff were soo friendly( just like anyone on the island).. Hakuna Matata :)
They even came to our room to spray for mosquitos multiple time during our stay.
It is few minutes away from the beach and famous places there.
An absolute pleasure of a stay! Highly recommended. I will definitely come back when I visit Zanzibar again.

The Garden was a lovely, tranquil spot in Paje where we could come back after a long day and relax. The staff were all fantastic, especially the manager Natasha who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything needed for a good stay. She also provided several great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, which was much appreciated as it was our first time in Paje. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Garden and will definitely be coming back when we return to Zanzibar.
Each villa has its own privacy. Best is every morning during sunrise when you walk in the garden going to the pool and the restaurant with a nice view of the beach while you have your breakfast. The staffs, Rachel and her husband, Akon and Mahmoud, they all have above excellent customer service, very friendly and they will assist you in everything. We will definitely take the same hotel when we come back to zanzibar. You guys made our trip unforgettable. Thank you so much.

The rooms were clean, the location is amazing, less then a minute from the beach. The staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious with nice portions and at good price.
A lot of people visit this place, so you can meet cool people from different part of the world.
Everything can be organized from here, so you don't have to do it by yourself. Excursions, taxis, parties... all you need is to ask at the bar.
The best hotel in Paje that over looks the sunset in the sky bar and also over looks the beautiful beach. Beach is only 1 minute walk from the hotel, kite surfing facilities/schools are right on the beach less than 2 minute walk. Staff were all so wonderful and the breakfast was the best we had in Zanzibar. Initially we had the hotel booked for two nights but we loved the hotel and kept extending our stay and ended up staying for 8 days.
Great location set just a minutes walk from the beach and easy walking distance to all the bars and beachfront properties in Paje, without the beachfront price tag. Rooms were clean and well maintained and the pool is a lovely addition for a quick cool down. Terrace was great to sit out. Breakfast was SO good and probably the best we had in Zanzibar - cooked to order, would recommend the avocado toast or French toast :)
This is the most fantastic hotel of Paje!!! Its look is so exotic and luxury, the room is very beautiful, clean and big, the terrace were big, the ocean view was amazing. It has a big pool, which was always clean and has a special lighting, glass-walled pool.

Perfect location, 2 minutes to the beach. Anna and the staff take care deeply for the cleaning of the rooms and hotel. After being at different hotels in Zanzibar-Page (breakfast included) this one had the the best breakfast regarding quantity and quality. Hot water, water pressure and AC are working perfectly. Chill main area around the pool. I would come back.

We loved the location, it is directly on the beach and in the lively village of Paje. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is really good.
