Absolute nightmare. When we arrived, they didn’t have our booking. You need to climb up the stairs to the 2nd floor to “check in” and no one is helping. Staff barely speaks any English and they are the most unhelpful people I’ve met working in hospitality. There’s an entire construction site next to the property- be prepared for all day noise and dust. There was a drunk person trying to enter our room at 3am - informed the property manager and I’m yet to get a response a week later. Oh, and the WiFi doesn’t work and also there’s no reception whatsoever. AVOID!!!!!

Paje is a beautiful town, best one of the island. Atmosfeer is good, people are very friendly. There is also lots of delicious local food available, just don't go to much to the western places but visit local places so the people of Paje can do there business. The beach is perfect, especially for kite surfing. You must visit Mr Kahawa for one of the best coffees and friendly staff! Go around on the island on bike or rent a scooter it's so nice to see the litle local villages and meet the most friendly locals!

If you enjoy more of a tourist and party atmosphere this is probably the place for you
I personally prefer the more relaxed atmosphere where the staff are not so ‘on top’ of you
I booked 2 suits unfortunately one was on top of the bar and kitchen so it was quite noisy until midnight
The second suit was bottom floor access to the beach but the beach beds were full of clothes just dumped there
When I mentioned it I was told that it was ok
Not really very good for 2 suits for 500€ a day
Needless to say the next day we changed hotels to a more relaxed one more to my liking
Not to say that the hotel was bad just not for me

Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north.
Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north. Best place for kite surfing. The tide can influence the possibility of swimming therefore if you want beach/sun/swimming you better choose north, Kendwa.

Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there.
Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there. ATM, bars, beach kitesurf mostly. If you want to party all night then it might not be your place. If you love watersports and laid-back people then you are in the right spot. Visited Nungwi, but preferred Paje.

Good nice beach front . A very authentic scenery ,see farming and fishing going on.excellent if you like kitesurfing .Restaurand and cocktails bars ave plenty full. Good for see food
The main road of town is lively with shops restaurants .
On the other end It is full of beach boys and girls constantly hassling you.
Be prepared to encounter some poverty which can be sad
Firstly, the location it’s just perfect, right on the beach and the best one in Paje.
They have the best pool you can find in the whole area.
Staff is very attentive and helpful. Always smiling and willing to make you feel like a king.
We felt looked after on every moment.
Also you can pay by card/contactless without being charged a fee like almost anywhere else in Zanzibar.
It’s a family run business and they are putting a lot of passion in every single aspect.

we have stayed in several hotels in zanzibar so I can say that this one was the best. Room neat and clean, air conditioning, usb plugs, large bathroom with cosmetics, luggage room. For 4 people the room was not big but it is important that the bathroom is very comfortable and large. Rich breakfasts for Zanzibar, you can order several dishes at once, e.g. omelette and pancakes. Water dispenser, tea and coffee and cookies available. pool large and clean. The hotel bar by the beach serves very good food and drink at reasonable prices
Top place! We often visit Paje - it is one of the best places in Zanzibar in our opinion, this time we had a pleasure to stay at Mlango, from which was only like one minute to the beach, such a good location for this rates! (we didn't even need to take any shoes with us!). Great owners, the manager was very helpful, a delicious and very various breakfasts! Always clean at the facility and high-quality service! We recommend it and we will definitely come back soon!:)

This is the most fantastic hotel of Paje!!! Its look is so exotic and luxury, the room is very beautiful, clean and big, the terrace were big, the ocean view was amazing. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The Paje beach is the most beauiful beach in Zanzibar. The hotel had a private sun terrace. It has a big pool, which was always clean and has a special lighting, glass-walled pool.

I think this is the best location is Paje, everything is in close walking distance, for eg. restaurants, rooftop bar, party places, but far enough to be quite at night.
The hotel has it's own private beach area which is quite useful if you do not wish to interact with the local salesmen (aka. fake massais)
Best hotel we stayed in Zanzibar. Nice big rooms, very clean, good aircon, kettle in the room, nice view, good breakfast. After Paje we went to Kendwa but we wanted to come back as all it was much better in Paje and frendlier people. With the sea the tide was not so terrible, so we could swim in the Ocean every day. Hotel has also reasonble prices of food and alcoholic drinks.
Everything was perfect but the aircon not working, was very hard to sleep at night.

Everyone is very nice and very helpful, they constantly check on aircon, electricity and fridge but in zanzibar the all situation about power is a bit out of their control.

It’s a little oasis in the middle of paje, the breakfast is superb, pool are very nice and quiet, rooms are modern and very comfortable beds with great a/cAnd the staff is so helpfully, we messaged about scooter rental and they prepared everything and was ready upon arrival. Paje By Night is super close to the beach. It has a non attached beach lounge for hotel guests only which has food and drinks - it’s comfortable! The restaurant has fantastic food but is a bit pricy. An easy walk to many restaurants and shops!
The host of the hotel, Henry was amazing! He made us feel at home, helped us a lot on how to visit zanzibar and was always really useful. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast is really nice.
