I recently had the pleasure of staying with my family at Kiwengwa Beach Resort, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our visit was nothing short of perfect. I would especially like to commend Angela and Victor for their outstanding service. Angela was incredibly attentive and always ready with a friendly greeting and helpful suggestions. Her professionalism and knowledge of the local area and genuine care for guests truly stood out. Victor, on the other hand, was always available to assist with any requests, no matter how big or small. His professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction.
The suite was immaculate and well-appointed, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of maintaining the suite each day, ensuring everything was spotless and well-stocked.
The on-site dining was another highlight. The restaurant offered a variety of delicious options, and the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. The dining staff were also exceptional, always attentive and accommodating.
In summary, my stay at Kiwengwa Beach Resort was exceptional in every way. The fantastic facilities, combined with the remarkable service from Angela, Victor, and the entire team, made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a superb stay with top-notch service.

Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family.
Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. We loved every minute of our stay at Kiwengwa.

I loved the colour, clarity and temperature of the water.
I loved the colour, clarity and temperature of the water. The sand was so soft and almost white. I didn't like the hassle on the beach though. It was easier to stay at the hotel to avoid it. But that's not why you visit another country!

Quiet part of the island with beach among the nicest.
Quiet part of the island with beach among the nicest. That meant fewer people and tranquility which was what I was looking for during that trip. The hotel was also exactly what I need. All the facilities (gym, massage, sports activities) + excellent food at a reasonable cost. And Fatma the day manager was great. A wonderful person and soul

Wonderful place. I fell in love.
Wonderful place. I fell in love. My favorite place was the Z lodge, they had supper friendly staff who helped me at any time around the clock. It is easy to get around since Z lodge has in house vehicles and great drivers. Would visit again
Great hotel with an amazing location by the beach, and a lovely infinity pool with stunning sea views. Highlights: Being able to enjoy the sun rising over the ocean from the pool, the delicious food (don't miss out the shakshuka for breakfast and the mango smoothie!), and the spacious bungalows with A.C, Inaya products, and beautiful outdoor terraces. The garden deserves a special mention as it's home to bush babies and elephant shrews, offering the peace and quiet that you cannot that easily find in other places.
Zan View in my opinion is outstanding, because of its management & staff team, its authentic interior design and cleanliness and its location. In Zanzibar people are super friendly in general, friendliness and service-orientation of the whole team was exceptional and far above expectation (am travelling to Zanzibar since 2008). Located on top of a small hill, with stairways down to Kairo village and the hotels private beach stretch,it is a georgeous combination of hotel privacy and local village.
Our 3 night stay in white dream was perfect. It is a small intimate hotel, beautifully designed and the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The pool is a big plus as the tide is sometimes capricious. Restaurant was very good and the menu offered various choices, we ended up having all of our meals there. We were not sure about staying in kiwengwa because the beaches are not as dreamy as in Nungwi or Paje but we did not regret for a second our stay in this peaceful haven.
They don’t smile at all.
I’ve never seen that in any hotel here in Zanzibar.
Food took 1h to come during lunch & dinner.
I wasn’t feeling well to grab the breakfast, so my wife took me 2 croissants from there to bring to the room.
And they started to fight with her because food cannot go out.
Have you ever seen this ?
During our checkout, the belarussian girl didn’t say us thank you for staying with us.
I don’t advice to stay there !
There’s much better places to stay.
it was small & beautiful, decorated in Zanzibari style, clean & great air conditioning! It’s on the east side of the island, much quieter & secluded than Stone Town. the staff was wonderful & respected our privacy. The food was excellent—- Italian chef cooked great dishes ( I wish he wouldn’t have yelled at his staff so much!)
They were helpful with taxis & excursions. We have no complaints at all & really enjoyed our time there, we also felt very safe!
We liked to stay at this place. The chef is very nice and the food is amazing. We stayed on Zanzibar for 3 weeks (in more than 5 hotels) and here we had the best food. Also the time for getting the food was compared to the rest of Zanzibar high speed:)
The hotel itselfe is not directly at the beach, but has a private beach in 2min walking distance. In general, I would say that this hotel is perfect for families.
We had a very nice stay in Kiwengwa at the Z-Lodge. The Staff was very nice, food was very good and our room was very nice. There is not much around and the beach is quite small. But in case you enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay, this place is very nice. Of course the hotel also offers tours and transfers. We used a transfer to go on a Quad tour in Kiwengwa which was super nice.
Insta Beach Resort is located extraordinary. Away from hectic tourist spots it is like a small oasis to relax! But yet there are a few restaurants directly next to the hotel to enjoy the local food too.
Breakfast was so delicious and the staff at the restaurant and bar was so helpful and nice.
We enjoyed our honeymoon a lot and would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Very good food, everyday different and the hotel is very well located, right on the beach. The ocean itself was also very good to swim in, no rocks, which you find sometimes in Zanzibar. Besides, the staff is very friendly, Stella and Harry from the reception are very welcoming and there is everyday some other entertainment to do or see.
Amazing team, comfy and modern rooms and an own nice Restaurant.
The Bar on the Pool is fantastic and the beach nice and quiet.
At the reception they are very keen to help you with day trips and even as a couple if you want to see a club/bar in the area, the hotel-team takes you with them to have a good time.
An 11 of 10!
Fantastic, great value little hotel right on the beach. Clean simple bungalow rooms which open right onto the sand. Rooms are very well set up for travellers with numerous universal power points and good Wi-Fi throughout. Great tasting breakfast and other meal options. Laura, Ania and the rest of the staff were amazing.
We had an amazing week here in Zanzibar, the Hotel is near the famous and cool Kiwengwa beach and the manager of the Hotel (Daniele) helped us for everything…tours, food, tips about the island every time impeccable, helpful and polite. Good Breakfast, lovely rooms in Zanzibar style. Everything nice! Thanks a lot!
The Beach, Friendly Staff.
Melia Zanzibar is a beautiful resort, however, for the price charged rooms needs to be of a better standard.
We have also requested for an airport pickup, which was confirmed bu the hotel. When we arrived no driver was waiting for us in the airport. hotel number wasn’t working!
Great location and set up. Nice staff, good food, small and personablel hotel. Good option for Zanzibar in our opinion as its not too busy a spot, the hotel rooms step right onto the beach and the sea is lovely here for swimming (not always the case given the reef and the tides)
The place gives off a Greece vibe and it’s so peaceful.Gibson was so helpful , he helped us with whatever we needed.
The place is next to the beach and their breakfast is so nice .
I definitely recommend this place and will always come back if I ever come to Zanzibar
very nice location-directly on the beach, perfect stuff, you can go for a walk on the beach, there is a big supermarket about 15min walking. we spent almost 3 week in Zanzibar (4 hotels) and the breakfast was the best here.
This was the second time we stayed at Kiwengwa Beach Resort. Same as the first time, we had a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Angela from guest relations. Always a pleasure dealing with her.
