Our bungalow had a lovely aspect facing the ocean through gardens and the infinity pool. I think most of the bungalows would have had a similar view from the layout.
Marafiiki was comfortable, relaxed and welcoming. The gardens and bar restaurant were all very nicely thought through and presented.
We were staying Bed and Breakfast, but in addition used the restaurant about half of our time where the seafood was good and compared well to when we ate elsewhere.
The setting was tranquil, the sea and gardens spectacular. The places was friendly and I enjoyed the evening calls and sightings of resident Bush baby.

Amazing place! The rooms, the people and the facilities are just fantastic. The pool at the center is just incredible! Fabio, his wife Anna and the other workers are super friendly and helpful. My Queen's Suite was so gorgeous that I had trouble deciding if I wanted to look at the room or the beautiful sea. Lunch and dinner menu was divine. You have to try avocado tuna steak bun. Staff was super friendly.

The Level area was really good. The breakfast at the level was better, it felt like a boutique hotel.

Paradise. Very long and large beach, friendly local people, very calm and quite place. We loved it. Its very save even in the nightwalks on the beach. There are some restaurants, coffee places where you can drink fresh, cocktails or snacks.

I loved the colour, clarity and temperature of the water. The sand was so soft and almost white. I didn't like the hassle on the beach though. It was easier to stay at the hotel to avoid it. But that's not why you visit another country!

Quiet part of the island with beach among the nicest. That meant fewer people and tranquility which was what I was looking for during that trip. The hotel was also exactly what I need. Wonderful place. I fell in love. My favorite place was the Z lodge, they had supper friendly staff who helped me at any time around the clock. It is easy to get around since Z lodge has in house vehicles and great drivers. Would visit again

The Food and Beverager Manager Zablon is a kind and focused man, results oriented.
Before coming to Zanzibar we read a lot about rain season and we had such a good weather during our stay - thank you sun and sky). Z-Lodge has a wonderful location and so close to the ocean, we enjoyed every moment. Restaurant food was fresh and tasty, for breakfasts we had variety of homemade jams - delicious. While low tide we were walking along the beach and observing local women collecting seaweed- it was very interesting. Thank you Z-Lodge for good memories.
The place is great and the staff sooo nice. We had beautiful holidays in kiwengwa beach resort ! Just in front of the beach and with 3 big pools inside so you can choose your favorite place. It was perfect. There were a lot of activities organised by the hotel, big clean room in front of the beach and/of of a pool, big buffet with a lot of choices… We had also 3 different massages at the spa for a very good price. It was amazing and I ll come back for sure !!
Great hotel on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, with an amazing team of staff throughout. Clean, spacious rooms, delicious food, and lovely pool & bar area. Also had a relaxing spa visit and chance to hear talented musicians in the evenings.
I felt really looked after and safe as a solo traveller, would definitely recommend to others and looking forward to visiting again in the future
Best boutique hotel in zanzibar! Cozy facility with just 5 rooms, amazingly located rightly on the beach with private sunbeds! The structure is a jewel, with helpful and always smiling staff for any need, and close to great restaurants, local shops and kite schools! Whatever is your reason for going to kiwengwa, Boho is the right choice
