The room is very spacious and there is a view on the town and the mountains. The management put the minimalist design up the the maximum. One chair in a double room, no cupboard or place to hang clothes except one hook, same in the bathroom.
Also, fair price, quiet location, enough shops, cafes and restaurants around and 15 minutes walk from the station. The lady at the reception is very friendly and so is the cleaning staff.

Taitung is beautiful and filled with many interesting places to explore and relax in. The beach is amazing, although the days I was there I couldn't fully enjoy the beach as there was a storm surge from an approaching typhoon, but nevertheless, it was beautiful. The surrounding hills are perfect for hiking, the food is great, and the people are amazing. I loved it there.

Taitung is the hidden gem of Taiwan. The city is a great place to explore the surrounding areas. My favorite place in Taitung is Tiehua village. During the week, visit in the evenings to browse the shops in the big shipping containers and stroll along the lanterns. If there during the weekend, don't miss the "Bazaar" that features vendors and live music and snacks. Other lovely places in Taitung: Forest Park, Seaside Park, the Sunday night Night Market on SiWei Road, the Prehistory museum, LuYe Mountain, and the four-story stationery store on ZhongHua Rd. If you have transportation to get out of the city, visit the beaches in Taimali or in Dulan, the hotsprings in Zhiben, or get up to the beautiful SanXianTai bridge park. Don't miss out on eating local produce, especially sugar apples, passionfruit, and mangoes.

It’s pretty far from south of taitung to north, along the most beautiful road seeing Pacific Ocean, with some part of the road elevated to high above ocean which is amazingly beautiful. Many places to visit, from ocean shore to chishang where the rice was growing, very interesting experience.

We drove North to Chenggong County to see Sanxiantai bridge. It was beautiful and the small island it led to was fun to explore. On the island, I recommend going on the small path off the walkway that leads to the lighthouse. The terrain may be rough for those with restrictions, and there is a hike up to the lighthouse, but it was well worth it. We also enjoyed renting bikes and riding through Taitung Forest Park. It had a fun country feel, and some small lakes and picturesque spots. I thought there were a good amount of restaurants near the forest park and sea park area.

-Beautiful coastline. The authorities in charge are doing a great job keeping the main tourist spots (eg Sanxiantai, Dulan beach, East Coast Scenic Spots Admin Centre etc.) attractive and clean.
- The City itself is small yet caters to tourists needs. Everything is there. Good local foods, restaurants, and bars.
- Driving on 9th Road is an experience you should never miss out in your life!. Great ocean view. (Many twists though. Drive with care.)
- Local people are overall friendly, treating you like their friends and chatting naturally.
Host was really responsive & friendly. Needed help with printing and she gave me great instructions. Location is within 10mins walk from Taitung train station. It's about 5km from Taitung City, but there's a bus stop (Baseball field) near B&B. There's a 7-11 & family mart within 3mins. Host is bilingual and easy to communicate with. My parents and I enjoyed the chats we had with her. Host also provides a common area with microwave, toaster and hot water dispenser on level 1.
Big spacious property and room. Shower was great! Lovely view from our bed of the mountains. Quiet room with no street noise.
Breakfast was buffet style with lots of Asian choices and some western food.
Free bikes at the hotel were great but they needed some TLC as the chains were rusted and the breaks squeaked.
Location is great for the views and so close to the Forrest.
Everything else was still in walking distance so easy to go and find food.
The room was clean as request, full amenity provided (love the fragrant floral shower gel!). The house/furniture look new, convenient with lift 🫶🏻 and located within a walking distance from main train station, lobby and the room has comfy atmosphere and welcoming. The host was polite and responsive 🩷 Great value, highly recommended. If I go to Taitung again, this place will be top of mind to stay 😄
Very near to the train station. The recep helped us to call a cab to bring us to the city area and also lent us an umbrella each due to the rain! The breakfast was ordered in. They have free flow of coffee and ice-cream at their hangout area. Washing machine and dryer machine are at the rooftop garden, which has a nice view.
Our sparkling clean room and en suite bathroom were bright, spacious, and simply and tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds. Fast, stable wifi. Easy finding space to park car. Host provided suggestions for what to do and where to eat. Be sure to stop for steamed buns if you drive toward Hualien.
I had a great time at this hostel. The staff were lovely and encouraged guests to hang out. The rooms and facilities were clean, the location was great if you're coming from the train station and the area is nice and quiet. Also, free breakfast!
I like the location near the station. The place is also maintained. Its a self check-in so for a non taiwanese person like me its kinda uneasy. However the laopan/laopanyang is attentively replying my question as much as they can.
Although it was level 3 in Taiwan, the hotel did a great job where you went through the buffet and put your breakfast in boxes to take to your room. They did a great job! Also, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!!!
There are a lot of things to do in the hotel, a SPA, a game room with poolroom and arcade machine, all free of charge.

A good example of an old style hotel that is well kept. The room has everything one needs - a good bed, a little desk, a window, and a spacious bathroom. Drinking water dispenser in the corridor.
Vintage style hotel close to the bus station and the cycle path. The owners speak very basic English but they are always there if you need anything. Comfortable beds and quiet place at night.
