This hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations. Great location close to train station and across the street from amazing Thai restaurant... go there .. Lemongrass Kitchen.. Great food... speak English. The restaurant was recommend by hotel staff and the staff also found a good secure place to store our bicycles. Had some seets in the room when we got there, coffee, tea plus amazing bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub. Nice linen. Big room. Great breakfast with friendly breakfast staff! Also we're there during a few 6.1 earthquakes and the building felt rock solid!

People here are very nice!
If you need to rent a car, make sure you have international driving permit. Otherwise you are not allowed to rent a car.
Taroko national park is a must visit attraction . It is amazing !

Initially the hotel indicated that we need to bring all personal towel and cleaning items eg. shampoo conditioner soap and toothpaste etc etc but we found they provided everything when we got there. It's so easy get around in Hualien there are lots of buses.

The Taroko Gorge was quite a site to behold.
The Taroko Gorge was quite a site to behold. We had a private TourGuide, Allen, who was full of great historical knowledge not only of Taiwan, but of the Taroko people. We also took the opportunity to go river rafting and were able to do a shrimp, catching and nighttime barbecue, which was delicious!

Hualien is easily accessible by train from small or major cities, either with the express or local trains. It is also a great starting point to discover the central east cost, with wonders like Taroko gorge and Walami trail.
In the city, the Dongdamen night market is worth spending a few evenings.

The city itself is big and need time to explore. The coastal park facing the Pacific Ocean is highly recommended to visit. Also the Taroko Gorge tour is a must together with the many other sightseeing tours.
The hotel is very near to Nanbin Park beach, and we are able to catch the sunrise from the rooftop of the hotel! The rooftop is really the best location to catch the sunrise and even the breathtaking scenery of the evening. The room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the owners will prepare delicious local Taiwanese-style breakfast for us every morning! It was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely be going back if I would have the chance to travel to Hualien again!
The owners are very warm and hospitable, and the place itself is very accessible from the train station of Hualien (a mere 5min walk!). The room I stayed in was spacious, and the airconditioning was very good, a much needed respite from the summer and humid heat of June. It had all the basic amenities one would come to expect. I particularly loved the fact that I can use any of the bikes they had, which was very helpful in giving a true Hualien/Taiwan experience.
Clean rooms, quiet, wonderful breakfast all for US $60.Bathrooms are very nicely laid out with the sink in the middle the shower on one side and the toilet on the other. Breakfast is quite extensive with a good variety of Taiwanese dishes. Beds are firm and comfortable for a double room. You can walk from the train station in 3 mts. Night market is a 30 minute walk or 5 minutes by Taxi for NTD $120.
The room was very clean and functional. The B&B provided shower gel, shampoo, conditional, facial wash, makeup remover. The only B&B during our whole Taiwan trip that had all this. Most B&Bs provide shower gel and shampoo. B&B is located within walking distance to convenient stores and takeouts / restaurants. The night market is about 15 minute walk away.
It was everything we wanted it to be. The room was clean and comfortable and the service was friendly and helpful. The hotel is just steps from the train station. We were only there for one night, to visit Taroko Gorge, so the location was perfect. Gave us a good dinner recommendation nearby, and arranged for a driver to the gorge for the following day.
Suprisingly big room and real bathroom (as in a seperate room and no glass cubicle!) with the window overlooking the neighborhood. Car and scooter parking available. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. One somewhat bigger Family Mart is nearby and there is a very modern and well-functioning laundromat shop directly across the hotel.
We had an excellent stay at Kadda hotel. The staff took such good care of us, and they were always friendly and welcoming with a smile. The hotel is bright and spacious with a good swimming pool and gym. They have a good selection of bikes if you don’t have your own. This is a perfect base to explore the many bicycle routes nearby.
I rate hotels mainly by the quality of the staff,. In this case I got to say each one was helpful, charismatic and all around approachable. Including the owner, that was personally helpful. He only introduced himself as a member of the staff Next day we figured out who he was.
Everything about the hotel was exceptional! They provide bikes, free laundry service, breakfast, snack time and late dinner. No other hotels I've ever stayed at provided this. Only less than 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station. One of the best hotels ever!
An excellent place to be spending some time in Hualien. The staff speaks proper English and it's not something for granted in Taiwan. The room I booked was big, clean and elegant and the position was ideal for exploring around. Price was impeccable.
Friendly family run accommodation. There is a lift so all floors are easily accessible. Close to the station and not far from the Main Street. Tv connected to YouTube which was nice compared to all other places we stayed in Taiwan.

Hualien still has a lot of earthquake aftershocks, they can be felt in the hotel rooms, but the hotel is safe!
