You must try the food and visit the hammam next to the Selimiye Mosque. You must also visit the Mosque itself, the Complex of Sultan Bayezid II Health Museum and have a walk around the town.
Don't be fooled by the "low prices". They are not low anymore. If you want to buy a good value for money products go to the large supermarkets. Don't buy cheap items from the local street market. Most of them are not good at all.

The locals, the food, the historical past and the future are also well represented in Edirne. The experience in Edirne is worth the effort to travel.
I particularly liked the agro-food market where the farmers bring their products, a unique experience of aromas, sound and color.

You can find restricted areas for walking because of construction but don't mind it. Keep walking and discover the city.
Be feel yourself lucky if you travel on Fridays or Saturdays and enjoy the Rakı.

Choosing to stay in the center of Edirne proved to be a brilliant decision. The convenience of being within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the Selimiye Mosque and the Grand Bazaar allowed me to immerse myself in the city's charm effortlessly. Exploring the cobbled streets and stumbling upon hidden gems like Kaleici and Karaagac became a delightful daily ritual.
My accommodation not only provided a comfortable retreat but also served as a perfect launchpad for my Edirne adventures. The bustling atmosphere of the city, combined with the warm hospitality of the locals, created an authentic and unforgettable experience.
From morning strolls to evening explorations, every moment felt like a discovery. Westdoor Hotel's Sempre Restaurant savoring local delicacies or simply soaking in the ambiance of the city's lively squares, staying in the center of Edirne amplified the richness of my visit.

The location is ideal as the hotel is only about 500m from Selimiye Mosque and just 50m from the taxi station. The staff helped us with our luggage when we checked in. Our room had a balcony facing the street. Of all the accommodation we stayed during our four-week trip, this was the only place that had a rack/stand for our luggage. The small fridge also came in handy for the kind of weather we had. Breakfast was good and the stay was an incredible value for money.
We had a great rest at "Kaleroom Edirne", arriving late at night and getting on the road again at noon on the next day. They accepted very quickly our midnight reservation and by arrival the person at the desk was very kind and polite, helping us with parking and checking in. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is situated very close to the heart of the city. We are looking forward to staying there again next time.
The property was very well located. I travelled with my boyfriend to do some shopping and walk around Edirne. The hosts were really helpful, always present, always answering our questions and giving some great recommendations. I really couldn't have been happier with the hotel or hosts, I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Edirne. (bonus: amazing espresso place just across the street from the hotel :) )
Helpful and friendly staff, the guy who check-in us was very nice. He waited a lot for us to arrived at the hotel because we had a delay in Bulgaria because of the frog. The same guy was offered us good breakfast in our room in the morning. They have parking in front of the hotel and it is safe.
We will choose again Edirne Suite House when we will travel to Edirne.

I stayed in Edirne for one night. I chose a hotel that was not expensive and close to the center. Therefore, the hotel met the stated conditions. It was a room for 3 people, essentially a small room with its own toilet and shower. It was clean, but not perfect. The furniture is old, but intact and in working order. Comfortable bed. Great location. Large free parking.
