You must try the food and visit the hammam next to the Selimiye Mosque. You must also visit the Mosque itself, the Complex of Sultan Bayezid II Health Museum and have a walk around the town.
Don't be fooled by the "low prices". They are not low anymore. If you want to buy a good value for money products go to the large supermarkets. Don't buy cheap items from the local street market. Most of them are not good at all.

The locals, the food, the historical past and the future are also well represented in Edirne. The experience in Edirne is worth the effort to travel.
I particularly liked the agro-food market where the farmers bring their products, a unique experience of aromas, sound and color.

I like the gastronomy that I found there with cheaper prices.
You can find restricted areas for walking because of construction but don't mind it. Keep walking and discover the city.
Be feel yourself lucky if you travel on Fridays or Saturdays and enjoy the Rakı.

Choosing to stay in the center of Edirne proved to be a brilliant decision. The convenience of being within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the Selimiye Mosque and the Grand Bazaar allowed me to immerse myself in the city's charm effortlessly. Exploring the cobbled streets and stumbling upon hidden gems like Kaleici and Karaagac became a delightful daily ritual.
My accommodation not only provided a comfortable retreat but also served as a perfect launchpad for my Edirne adventures. The bustling atmosphere of the city, combined with the warm hospitality of the locals, created an authentic and unforgettable experience.
From morning strolls to evening explorations, every moment felt like a discovery. Westdoor Hotel's Sempre Restaurant savoring local delicacies or simply soaking in the ambiance of the city's lively squares, staying in the center of Edirne amplified the richness of my visit.

Excellent location to explore the city centre on foot. The historical centre, monuments, the open air market and Friday's bazaar within walking distance. Private parking area. The reception staff (a man and a lady) very kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean and warm. Hot water always available. Traditional turkish breakfast.
Overall, it is a highly reccomended accomodation and if we go to Edirne again, we will definitely choose Selimiye Hotel.
I was looking for a transit hotel, meaning one close to main roads, and also a place where you can have a glass of wine or a beer after a long journey, which can be difficult in Edirne. After 10 o'clock, you can't buy alcohol unless you find a hotel that's mostly for travelers / foreigners.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable.
In spite of the fact they have loud music (it was Saturday), you can't hear it from the rooms, which was great!
The property was very well located. I travelled with my boyfriend to do some shopping and walk around Edirne. The hosts were really helpful, always present, always answering our questions and giving some great recommendations. I really couldn't have been happier with the hotel or hosts, I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Edirne. (bonus: amazing espresso place just across the street from the hotel :) )

The owner and his wife were very nice and helpful! The breakfast was delicious! They served us free coffee all day!
The owner Allaatin showed us good stores and even walked with us! That was our first time in Edirne and definitely Alaattin helped us our trip to be amazing!

Helpful and friendly staff, the guy who check-in us was very nice. He waited a lot for us to arrived at the hotel because we had a delay in Bulgaria because of the frog. The same guy was offered us good breakfast in our room in the morning. They have parking in front of the hotel and it is safe.
We will choose again Edirne Suite House when we will travel to Edirne.

Every time when I come here, the staff is so polite and they upgrade the room if there is any availability. The location is so close to the highway so transit passengers can easily stay. The breakfast is awesome with open buffet and restaurant serenity could be a good option if you don’t want to leave the hotel for dinner.

This was a great place to spend some time in Edirne. The room was clean, the staff was great. The place is close to some of the points of interest in Edirne, you can get to the central area in minutes, by foot. They have a private parking lot, not very big but it was perfect for us.
