The place was perfectly located in regards to the airport. The host was also very helpful in setting up all the transport from the place to the city center the night before and the morning we had a transfer service which was really great!

Never saw Dalaman but I advise to take as little baggage as possible. I was flying with 1 small bag only which was super comfy.
Be prepared that if you have check in luggage you have to arrive at least 2.5 hours before because its painstaking to get through the airport, especially check-in with your luggage. The airport is huge and quite confusing. You can safely use your debit cards there I checked on mine. Everything was ok!

I only stayed two nights and was working remotely, so didn't experience too much, but from the couple of walks I had into the town I got a sense that you wouldn't need more than 1-2 days for the town, but it could be a convenient place to stay as a base to see other places.
Bus station is about 15-20 minutes drive outside of the town - so you definitely need to get a taxi there!
I think as a place to stay if your arriving at Dalaman Aiport late or leaving early, then a nights accommodation in Dalaman is a good option.
Use Turkey Lira and have cash, found taxis and buses you needed cash. I didn't eat or drink out, so cannot comment on need for cash at cafes, restaurants, or bars. The small supermarkets and liquor outlets took cards.

Dalaman is in fact city for tourist because of the airport. My visit was out of main tourist season and the city was quiet and served me as base for my trips around. Ideal for short visit of Hellenic places like Patara, Xanthos and Lakoon and rock tombs in Dalyan or Fetyeh. And lots of nice beaches within a day car-trip.

We stayed at the king lake houses swim up apartments, they absolutely lovely !! next time would like to book the ground floor level and maybe opposite side for extra sunshine time 😎
We also booked beach huts with jacuzzi and butler service for are anniversary and daughters birthday, and what a treat worth every penny

The start of the holiday as always is long as you just want to get there, however Stansted Airport was brilliant both ways. Jet2 were fantastic and will be using them in the future.
We've been to dalaman 7 times and love it, people are friendly, beach's are lovely and clean, so much to do and see for all ages. We hired a car for 8 days and travelled to olu deniz for 2 nights, went to the blue lagoon and to the water park, we went rafting down the river at the Gorge which is a must, my 7 year old loved it, the 12 island boat trip from Gocek was great value for money £17 for adults kids half price up to the age of 12, the boat left at 10 returned at 7pm it included a bbq with fresh fish, chicken, salad and vegetarian option with a bar on the boat.
The local beach's are beautiful saragimie has 2 the old and the new one with large wooden swings spotted on the beach, clean with eating facilities, showers and toilets.

It is close to Sarigerme town which is small but good enough to buy some popular Turkish stuff.
Except the Holliday Village(the resort where we were located) you could book different extras on the beach , take a boot and go for diving, etc. British people stay mostly in the village around the pools and the beach itself is pretty empty for those who likes quite places.
It was interesting there was no mosquitos even there was a river and kind of swamp area around. The locals treated the area every day.
The service from all members of staff was excellent. The food at all occasions and in all locations was superb, with a wide choice to suit all palates. Although I didn't use any of the sports facilities the pools and surrounding area were always kept spotless. There seemed to be enough sunbeds, of a good quality, around the pool. I think the most outstanding features of Tui Blu Sarigerme Park were the gardens and cleanliness of the whole place. Location wise it couldnt be better, just 20 minutes away from Dalaman Airport. Fantastic.
We stayed here the night we arrived in Dalaman and the night before we left. It was a fantastic apartment for our purposes, close to the airport too.
The host was fabulous, meeting us at 3am when we arrived and he helped us order food on our final night before flying. He was so accommodating and very helpful, even with limited English and us not speaking Turkish at all.

Good choice if you just want to spend the night. We've spent the night till our check in in our holiday hotel in Fethiye. It is 5-10 mins drive from the Dalaman Airport and it's a very small family guest house, converted modernly from a village house. The staff is very helpful, they waited us at the airport although our flight was delayed more than 1.5 hours. The AC was working well.
It was amazing! Exceeded my expectations the bar staff were great, the shops in the hotel were really good, the restaurants were also very good! I was surprised many people weren’t making the most of the fancy diners you can book as part of the all inclusive. Very convenient that the beach is just at the hotel, we didn’t have to leave the resort for anything as everything was there.
It was near the airport so convenient for us as our flight arrived in Dalaman late in the evening. The house was spacious, new, and stylish. There were full facilities of kitchen and refrigerator. It also has a big garden with a swimming pool in it. We received useful information about the nearby beaches, thermal bath from the host. This was perfect for a family of 4.
We enjoyed our vacation here very much! Food was incredible, staff friendly and helpful. Beach was nice and wide and sea was really clean. Hotel is only 20min by taxi from the airport which is convenient. Hotel is targeted to British visitors but it was not an issue. I will recommend this hotel and will definitelly come back again.
Perfect location to stay for night or early morning flights (8min driving distance from Dalaman airport). Owner provide 24/7 taxi from/since airport and other locations. Delicious breakfast! It's a family-run hotel, all of them very kind. Owner speaks English. Our room was well fornited, with private bathroom and AC.
Lots of options for kids to enjoy the day. Every aspect was very kid friendly. The water park was fun. 24 hour service so it wasn’t a problem that we had to leave super early for the airport. Towels available for use during your stay. Room was comfortable for a family of four.
This hotel is a gem! Beautiful setting by ponds with koi and ducks and bunnies and turtles etc. so peaceful and lovely. Pool is beautiful too. Breakfast on the water was amazing - best I have had in all my trips to Turkey. And the staff was incredibly hospitable
Nice accommodation with lovely view to the sea. Close to a Dalaman airport. Friendly owner, ready to help with anything. We tasted "real Turkey" around and enjoyed the stay a lot. Despite we went there in late October, we still enjoyed warm and sunny weather.

This hotel is located very close to the Dalaman airport, which is great, but the best part was that the service was extrimely nice and attentive. The rooms were clean and the breakfast good and abundant.
