Room was huge! Clean and comfortable. More like a motel, with each room opening onto and outside corridor. Staff were friendly, and randomly gave me a banana when I got back one evening. Access to hot water for drinks in the reception area.

We stayed here from the 9/03/24 through to the 11/03/24. A two night stay as we travelled back from Pak Meng Beach & then were travelling onto Patong on the 11/03/24. Check in was smooth & efficient & only Credit card or the Thai QR code system was accepted as payment. I used credit card as I don’t have access to the Thai QR code system. Our room was ready & we were able to check in at 12.30PM. Our room was 421 facing the rear of the property & I would suggest that if you have the opportunity, You should book a rear room as the road past the hotel is quite busy. In reception area there is tea/coffee facilities for free & ample seating if you must wait for anyone. There are toilets there as well. The breakfast area is behind a glass partition & hours for breakfast are 7-10am. Breakfast is a set menu & is 75THB=$AUD3.18. elevator in operation at the hotel & there is 5 floors. Concierge brought our bags to the room, set up the A/C & made sure everything was good. As we have found with most SE Asian beds, they were a little hard, so I went back down to the reception & requested pillow toppers for the beds & that was no problem for them to do so. A/C kept the room cool as the temperature whist in Trung was 38,39 Deg C for the two days. Our room configuration was two single beds, but they were quite spacious. Fridge kept the drinks cold & there were multiple power points available to charge devices. Bathroom area was quite good & the shower as reported before in my reviews was a wall heater for the hot water & it also had a separate cold-water shower. Amenities (shampoo, toilet paper, hand wash supplied & room serviced daily. There is a courtyard on the 4th floor that is a great place to just sit & relax as well. Location is a key point with Maison as it is just across the railway lines from the Train station.

Trang is a great place to get a taste for a real Thai city, especially before or after a stay out at the islands. After our trip out to the Koh Mook and Koh Libong, a stay in Trang provided a different, but equally interesting experience of city life in Trang. Beautiful landscapes surrounding city and the food scene is crazy and amazing (as with much of Thailand)! We had just one night here and a little under a day, which was a perfect amount of time for us to rent a scooter and explore a couple of cool sites in the area (Khao Chang Hai Cave, Weaving Center), visit the night markets, and experience the famous Trang dim sum breakfast. My husband and I definitely thought Trang City was worth a visit!

Beaches are not as beautiful as Krabi, Phang Nga or Phuket. However, its islands is quite remarkable. Moreover,you can travel to Trang by train or air from Bangkok. If you are looking for cultural tourism, you will like Trang.

Excellent food taste there is the legend, and island is superb. Grill Pork (Moo Yang) is different taste but in a great Chinese-herb great style. 'Hongchai' is good for the original grilled pork-chicken-lever rice and 'Trang Old town' is good for black coffee and old pictures. Recommend you to wake up at 6am and find the city fresh market downtown to buy 'Ko Paow' grilled pork for sweet-less and oil-less pork in case you want to taste a nice healthy food.
Tae-tieam (Chinese breakfast style) in Trang is one of the most famous meal, please try it at Jae Nok restaurant or just ask local to find a good one.
Please spend 3-4 days hanging around koh Kradarn (Kradarn Island), it is quiet and private place (don't forget your sun block). It is also good for trekking and canoeing with a crystal clear ocean. Takes some food and water with you in case to kill some expensive food there. Be prepare with some anti-mosquito spray.

1) cooperation among people in the city : we went for "Trang Maraton 2019" event, everywhere we go, people kept asking "do you come for running?" and they gave discounts for hotels, restaurants..etc. Also, they have student shows along the running path :D
2) A lot of beautiful beaches to travel

Amazing Value, this Hotel is right beside the Train Station (but no noise). Good position for restaurants and exploring. Has a Travel Agent just over the road where you can book excursions.

Room is comfortable and clean. Hot shower and cold a/c. Bed is firm but we slept well. Friendly reception staff. Has no lift, but was ok for us. Easy stairs.

This property is a hidden gem. I loved my one night stay here as I was passing from Langkawi to Koh Lanta via Trang and I loved it. Very peaceful, clean room and strong air conditioning. The lady at the reception even helped me pay the Grab driver for the food while I did not have the change. Thank you so much. The bus stop is bit far but you can grab it.
It's an old and dignified establishment - once a true modern luxury hotel in the area. It was great to see the old photos in the lobby of the opening of the hotel and its history. By now it is a bit run down, but perfectly livable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For its price, it was a very good experience.

Breakfast available in restaurant next door and evening meal also available in Wine Corner, both very good.
Great location, 5 mins to walking street right along the street. 10 mins to clocktower and 20 mins to train station. The hotel is new built in 2022, and everything is so clean. The staffs are so friendly, attentive and serviced mind. We enjoy our stay here, will definitely go back!
