The elevated location was quite nice, the pools were pleasant. Close to beaches although not quite walking distance, we booked because of a very generous genius discount feeling safe that it would still be reasonable level because of the 5-star rating (it wasn't) and the general lack of co-ordination and effort by staff was woeful. IE three people standing behind the pool bar but had to walk up to get their attention each time service was required.

The hotel has quite a lot of facilities and activities (gym, water slide, water scooters, ice cream parlour, games parlour, movie room, pool table etc), with happy hours and live music in the evening.
The location is also good as it was a walkable distance from the beach.

I had booked tickets to Phuket on a whim. I did a lot of research and decided on Surin Beach. I was after somewhere quiet but not remote. We were travelling with a teenager so wanted two bedrooms and some space. The two bedroom apartment was perfect for us providing indoor and outdoor spaces with a sea view. The air conditioning provided relief from the heat outside and there were times the ceiling fans were all we needed. Location was perfect, a short walk to the spectacular beach across the road. Staff were lovely, particularly from the restaurant. The food was amazing every time. The pool area was perfect. This is a professionally operated complex with great facilities. Easy access to the beach, local restaurants and shops.

Nice area, but I am not a beach person so I can't really judge. But lots of people were enjoying the beach and sunbathing. Plenty of chairs and shade. Plenty of food and drink options. Awesome sunsets.

Clean sandy treelined beach with local stalls selling various food and drinks. Sun beds and chairs/loungers available to hire. There are a couple of beach bars at one end but lacks cafes and bars. Not much happening once the sun goes down as local area lacks decent bars and restaurants outside of hotels. Most of Surins nightlife is focused along the busy main road. We had intended to stay 4 nights but left after two.

The beach was not so nice - lots of plastic and junk. The ocean was quite rough the days we were there and even when the weather was better it was not such an inviting beach. Some of the resorts are up a big hill. Outrigger was positioned well to access the shops and the beach. It was a 400 b ride in a Tok Tok to Patong each way.

Not crowded and very clean beach in Phuket lined with casuarina trees. Crystal clear water, beautiful white sand, big waves, attentive locals selling delicious food & drinks, short ride ( about 15-20 minutes from Patong), it s by far one of our favorite beaches in Phuket.

I think it is the nicest beach in Phuket, Not too crowded, very cozy, good size, great for Snorkelling around the rocks. and bonus inside tip, there is a private beach right around the corner which is not very easily accessible which you can swim to.
The water is crystal clear and perfect temperature.

It’s a nice little apartment in a good location but the cleaning of both the apartment and the public areas needed to be more thorough. Surin beach is fine, lots of little restaurants, crystal sea, clean. Bang Tao beach a short tuk tuk ride away is also beautiful. Surin is great for sunsets.
The Sandbox experience exceeded our expectations, and the staff at the Twin Palms Hotel certainly did they very best to make our stay memorable. In spite of the difficult times the entire world is going thru, people are working very hard to adapt and adjust to the new normal, always with this unique, bright and beautiful smile on their faces. We wholeheartedly appreciate it as we couldn't wait any longer to come back to Phuket and to Thailand. Thank you, Twin Palms! We hope to see you soon again!

The beach at the Surin is the best, cleanest and clearest in Phuket, and the staff were the best part of our stay, every single member of staff is very kind and attentive. The whole hotel including the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff at the water activities centre on the beach are great fun and willing to help us in whatever way they can.
Overall the level of service here is impeccable, we look forward to staying here again.
A beautiful hotel located 10 minutes walk from the Surin beach. We really liked the setting which was a bit off the main road and therefore there it super silent and comfortable for sleeping. We also really liked the small balcony. What was fantastic was the infinity edge pool and bed directly by the window overseeing a nearby forest. Really peaceful place.
Location is great, 2 min walk to the beach. The breakfast was really good, nothing is too much for the staff. Matt at reception was amazing, so friendly and helpful. The coffee was delicious at breakfast. We loved our room and our children enjoyed swimming in the pool. I would highly recommend Outrigger Surin Beach resort.

it was God send to us. we had to change from another hotel booking after huge disappointment with room was advertised as five stars when it was three. mold smell filled rooms.
this was great location clean and owner got it ready within few hours.
Everything was perfect, location, service, food, facilities. Everybody is always smiling, ready to help you and make you feel comfortable. The location with a private beach is stunning and the best part is that the hotel respect the local people serving you at the beach.

It’s extremely close to the beach, with a large selection of local food vendors and massage places. Beach towels are provided. Breakfast choices were much better than other small hotels we’ve stayed at. Staff were friendly and consistent.
An excellent find, this family run (Alfred & Winnie) boutique hotel is in a lovely quiet area of Surin Beach providing great rooms, wonderful pool and very attentive staff who were very willing to provide advices and organise trips
Location was great, on a quiet street but near main road with restaurants, supermarket and good massage salons nearby. Surin beach is clean and calm which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Hotel staff was lovely.
