The pool was excellent. My first room, the balcony had a magnificent view but the room was unexceptional. The second room was superior and the view was great. The beach was one of the better ones on Koh hang which can be rocky.

This place is amazing, so friendly, nice bungalows, great pool, and treated like family. Also showed me an app that has an amazing exchange rate and no banking fees. Talking around 25% more money using his way, would never stay anywhere else in Ko chang, you couldn't find an all round hotel and owners. Nearly forgot he also has every sorting event, TV from 30 countries and all pov events. Best place on the island. Your mad if you don't stay here

Saffron on the Sea is a hidden gem! So peaceful and such a beautiful location with well-maintained tropical gardens and next to the ocean. Our room was lovely, nicely designed and comfortable bed with a nice sea view and deck chair outside to relax. The restaurant/bar was excellent too, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and cannot fault the food! Highly recommend the banana leaf salad and spicy basil with beef. The cocktails at sunset were the highlight for us! The sunset was spectacular with perfect views from the deck. The staff here were all so friendly and helpful, we can't thank them enough for making our stay so lovely.

Ko Chang is a wonderful island due to the island being largely national park with mountains and tropical forest. It’s surrounded by other islands, some of which (eg Ko Laoya) deserve the label ‘tropical paradise’. The west coast has some nice beaches, but the east end of the island which has far fewer people and fewer resorts is in many ways even more beautiful, where you are surrounded by mountains and verdant forest.
Ko Chang is easy to get to with many ferries across every day and has excellent resorts and tourist facilities. As it is a large island, a car or a motorbike is useful. As the east end of the island has far fewer cars it is suitable for exploring by pushbike.

It’s a beautiful island split between left and right. Turn right off the ferry and you enter the tourists haven with restaurants , bars, shops, scooter hire, and all the hotels and guest houses you can find. Turn left and its rocky beaches, jungle and local villages.

Well where do I start?
Well where do I start? Ko Chang has been the most amazing island we visited so far. People were so friendly, the beach were not crowder — so many food options to choose from. Honestly, 3 weeks stay was too short in our opinion. Will definitely come back for more 😊

5 h away from Bangkok ( and that includes the ferry as well), lots to do on the island , lovely beaches , people are just lovely, prices are very good , big enough so you can find a Tesco , a Metro in here if you want to buy stuff, lots of snorkelling places , it’s a must , you will

From people we know and random searches on the internet, we gathered that Koh Chang would be way less touristy than places like, say Koh Panghan and Koh Samui. That's why we were a little bit disappointed the first few days of our stay on the West side of the island. Yes, it's a bit less crowdy than Samui or Panghan, but it's still QUITE touristy. It's only seems to be more catered to an older (like 65+) crowd - especially around the most famous White Sand Beach - and couples. BUT luckily we found what we were looking for at the much quieter east side of the island. There are less restaurants and (seedy) bars over there, but you can enjoy the beauty of the island and see some of the 'genuine' Thailand in relative calm and ease. The east side I would definitely recommend to friends, the west side not so much. It helped that we stayed in the wonderful Privacy Resort, which made our stay at the east side even more enjoyable.

The sea and sandy beaches are beautiful, there are many wild monkeys, there is a lot of nature, and it is quiet and relaxing.
My favorite part is the close proximity to the ocean and mountains, and the great scenery.

The room is very big and clean, the bed is very comfortable, Wifi connection is very good, and the room has a very nice and clean bathroom.
The staff is amazing!!! very communicative and nice, super friendly, and were always attentive and asked if I needed any help with anything. I really felt at home :)

perfect location, stayed with family: 2 kids. Initially wanted to stay 5 nights and to get move to another location in Ko Chang, but then drove around and realised the resort is at the best spot of the island. The beach was perfect, very clean water, the restaurants and massage places within 5 minutes walk, we did not need to rely on the scooter. Also if you absolutely lazy and can't walk 5 minutes hotel staff could give you a lift in buggy to the restaurants main street.
Yak was the coolest and his bungalows were awesome. My partner and I loved our week at Yak Bungalows—the beach nearby was our favorite on the island (quieter, chiller), the bungalow itself was cozy and clean, and Yak was always available when we needed him. There’s a shared kitchen you can use as well. no wifi at the bungalows which was AmAzInG. We highly recommend and will be returning whenever we’re on Koh Chang!! Thanks Yak <3 :-)
The bungalows are spacious and have their own bathroom attached to them. Our room was equipped with an AC, which made the stay even more enjoyable! The bungalows don't get very hot without the AC on either though, so just a fan is more than enough.
The hostess was especially welcoming. We messed up our booking and showed up a day later than she expected us, but she allowed us to stay all four nights without having to pay extra.
Location is perfect: good cafe within 40 m, shops within 50 m, and great restaurants within a 5-10 min. songthaew ride.

The pool of the hotel is well-maintained and clean.
Beach bars with music are open until 2300, then exactly at 2300 all music stops, and the beach is quiet. Our room was great though, we could hardly hear the noises from outside.

Everything is perfect. One of the best place where I have been ever. Great beach, clear sea, access to closest wild islands by kayak. Monkeys come to hotels sometimes. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and food at all. Developed Infrastructure is around . There are a lot of restaurants and shops, 7/11 on the main road. You could go swimming with baby elephant in 200m from hotel.
We would like to stay at a calm place, and this hotel was just what we wanted. The best thing was the staff. They made us ferl really comfortable and special :)
Also the dishes that we ate here was more than we expected.
If we come back again to Ko Chang, we will choose to stay here. Thank you very much for the great hospitality.

Nice and quiet location. Really close to nature. Big resort with a short trail for walking . Breakfast was fine. Wifi ok. Always availible sunbeds👍. The resort offers free transport to both the local village and 3 trips a day to white sand beach, really good! Biiig bathromm and nice porch. I had a nice relaxing stay😀
Nice Bungalows, quite and peacefull area, have nice little pool, the owner is very friendly, they have bar and chill area. Next to the property there's really good little local restaurant, and a really good massage place. Close to laundry place as well. While you are in tropical Island prepare mosquito spray 😃
