The pool was excellent. My first room, the balcony had a magnificent view but the room was unexceptional. The second room was superior and the view was great. The beach was one of the better ones on Koh hang which can be rocky.

This place is amazing, so friendly, nice bungalows, great pool, and treated like family. Also showed me an app that has an amazing exchange rate and no banking fees. Talking around 25% more money using his way, would never stay anywhere else in Ko chang, you couldn't find an all round hotel and owners. Nearly forgot he also has every sorting event, TV from 30 countries and all pov events. Best place on the island. Your mad if you don't stay here

Saffron on the Sea is a hidden gem! So peaceful and such a beautiful location with well-maintained tropical gardens and next to the ocean. Our room was lovely, nicely designed and comfortable bed with a nice sea view and deck chair outside to relax. The restaurant/bar was excellent too, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and cannot fault the food! Highly recommend the banana leaf salad and spicy basil with beef. The cocktails at sunset were the highlight for us! The sunset was spectacular with perfect views from the deck. The staff here were all so friendly and helpful, we can't thank them enough for making our stay so lovely.

Ko Chang is a wonderful island due to the island being largely national park with mountains and tropical forest. It’s surrounded by other islands, some of which (eg Ko Laoya) deserve the label ‘tropical paradise’. The west coast has some nice beaches, but the east end of the island which has far fewer people and fewer resorts is in many ways even more beautiful, where you are surrounded by mountains and verdant forest.
Ko Chang is easy to get to with many ferries across every day and has excellent resorts and tourist facilities. As it is a large island, a car or a motorbike is useful. As the east end of the island has far fewer cars it is suitable for exploring by pushbike.

It’s a beautiful island split between left and right. Turn right off the ferry and you enter the tourists haven with restaurants , bars, shops, scooter hire, and all the hotels and guest houses you can find. Turn left and its rocky beaches, jungle and local villages.

Well where do I start?
Well where do I start? Ko Chang has been the most amazing island we visited so far. People were so friendly, the beach were not crowder — so many food options to choose from. Honestly, 3 weeks stay was too short in our opinion. Will definitely come back for more 😊

From people we know and random searches on the internet, we gathered that Koh Chang would be way less touristy than places like, say Koh Panghan and Koh Samui. That's why we were a little bit disappointed the first few days of our stay on the West side of the island. Yes, it's a bit less crowdy than Samui or Panghan, but it's still QUITE touristy. It's only seems to be more catered to an older (like 65+) crowd - especially around the most famous White Sand Beach - and couples. BUT luckily we found what we were looking for at the much quieter east side of the island. There are less restaurants and (seedy) bars over there, but you can enjoy the beauty of the island and see some of the 'genuine' Thailand in relative calm and ease. The east side I would definitely recommend to friends, the west side not so much. It helped that we stayed in the wonderful Privacy Resort, which made our stay at the east side even more enjoyable.

The sea and sandy beaches are beautiful, there are many wild monkeys, there is a lot of nature, and it is quiet and relaxing.
My favorite part is the close proximity to the ocean and mountains, and the great scenery.
We liked the pictures on Booking.com. Reality is a bit different. It is quite dated and needs some renovation. It is actually a beautiful territory in a beautiful place but everything is just.. old and needs fixing. The pool was nice, free kayaks and Sup boards, that there were peakcocks running around and most of the staff was really friendly. Breakfast was good! Free transport to beach is good because the hotel is far away from..anything.
Located at Kai bae beach there is loads of food option near by. The hotel staff was very friendly, we had a minor issue with the first room, it was sorted very fast and new room offered.
Breakfast was ok, not to many choices but enough, however we did stay in may 22 at a time with not many guests staying. Room was very nice (seaview bungalow).

Very good breakfrast. We stayed in a seaview room in the main building, and loved the room and view. I would only stay here when visiting White Sand Beach.
Nicely wood-decorated resort right at the beach, very centrally located between main road & beach. Good breakfast buffet (as usual as in most hotels in Thailand). Waterfront huts equipped with safe & fridge and good working heater for shower. Due to the dark wood are the rooms a little dark and you have to switch on the lights at daytime.
Light hotel music plays in the reception which gives it a comfy atmosphere.
The buffet dinner, dinner isn’t only about food, right? I love the vibe, I love to spend my evening beside the sea, the entertainment was awesome, the fire dance was superb, the guy who was also performing fire dance was the one who helped me took the sunset pictures, was a n asset to the hotel. I must say the price I paid for my dinner exceeded my expedition. It’s totally worth it.

Hotel provides free simple breakfast for everyone. I didn't know that when I was booking. Also you can use kitchen all day in case you want some dishes, microwave, etc.
Everything was absolutely fabulous. Even if it's not directly located near the beach, the hotel provides free shuttle boat to private beach. Location near river give this hotel nice charm. Both swimming pools were clean and looked after. Breakfast was delicious, and every day had a different menu. Highly recommend this hotel for your holidays.
The staff service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The hotel amenities were outstanding. The location was perfect. Close to everything you need. Western and Thai restaurants. Shops and convenient stores. We will stay again. I took a video of our room and even the pool but I can't figure out how to upload it here.
When you come to Ko Chang, you may prefer to stay near seaside - yes it’s good choice, but also to stay in woods makes you feel very tranquirity.
We really loved this place. In the morning, you can walk to the mountain side - very nice atmosphere!!

Great location, very friendly staff, nice bungalows and you get to see monkeys roaming around the resort if you're lucky enough! Located on a side street, just 100m from the main part of lonely beach with all amenities, this place is close to everything but still super quiet and surrounded by nature.
The rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was two or three times the size of a normal hotel bathroom. The Beach Club restaurant was reasonably priced and had a good selection of Thai and western foods. The beach-front area itself is very nice, but is nearly a mile away from the actual property.
This extraordinary villa can accommodate six people in three large bedrooms worthy of a five-star hotel, for an explosive price. No more expensive than some double rooms on White Sand Beach. The setting is enchanting. A dream stay
