The visit was principally in order to visit the Gem Stone market but there are plenty more places to see. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is well worth a visit. A number of Temples are there too.

Going through the Taksin shipyard and reviewing things there. Has character and some past history I am sure. We ate at the resort because they order whatever you want and their family brings it in for you at anytime. Breakfast was exceptional, a mix of european and thai and fitted our family. Easy to get around; however, would try and find an easier route to get to the Meena, we did not have GPS, so we ended up inside of the town and had a long drive to the resort.

We went to the National Park, which was close, to see the waterfall. Ha ha ha ha, climbed up many steps and there it was, a little trickle of water falling down a hill....ha ha ha ha. Would not recommend this tourist attraction. Of course, I have been to real waterfalls, and so maybe that has something to do with my remarks.

We really liked Chanthaburi.. after Chiang Mai where we live, really enjoyed getting around so easily, and just 30 mins from the beach. Over the 4 days driving around it i reckon it's got everything. Pity we can't move here.

The Old town beside river is something you do not want to miss and also with the tradition thai dessert.
also not forgetting to visit a house based bakery shop for their tasty wonderful cakes at 61, Thachalap 1/1 lane, Thachalap Rd.

Fantastic location overlooking the river in the heart of old Chantaburi. The check-in staff (and all the other staff!) were amazing and reserved parking for us outside the hotel. Also gave us advice about local restaurants - lots of delicious and very good value local cuisine. The house has been renovated to the highest standards. Design and build quality very good. Interesting "museum" section about the history of the house and family. My third stay in Chantaburi, but first staying in the centre. Will definitely be back.
We stayed here overnight on our way down to Koh Chang. I was interested in the town itself and wanted two things from a hotel 1) comfort 2) not too far from the historic center (riverside community). I wasn't disappointed! The room and the whole hotel were functional and comfortable. It would be a great choice for a business hotel. If this the standard for Hop Inn hotels then I'm definitely going to look into staying at their properties elsewhere in the future. A big thumbs up from me.

Chanthaburi is a very fun town with a lot of different areas to explore.
Really nice room for the price. It was a small hut with a separate bathroom and a separate kitchen area. It had a balcony around two sides of the building. The balcony overlooked a reice field which was in full bloom. Lovely. The bed was quite comfortable. The place was very quiet and not far from central Chanthaburi. The ladies running the place were pleasant & friendly. I would stay again
Very nice and clean villa a little bit outside of Chanthaburi. You need about 10 minutes to the center with a bike. The owner was very helpful to get Motobikes very quick and in good conditon. Every question was answered by Whatsapp immediately.
Some more equipment in the kitchen would be fine.
If we will visit Chanthaburi again the Blue Cat villa is our first choice to stay.
The hotel is located at very nice area: near to many cafe and shops along the river.

The room is very wide and comfortable. Also there's many USB input - so you won't have any problem for charging electric equipments.
The room is very tidy and cozy. I am very appreciated this hotel unlimited provide drinking water and orange juice. Breakfast is very Thai style. It is not bad. Overall I am very satisfied during my stay period.
Such a peaceful place right on the river. The bed was one of the best of our stay in Thailand, everything was clean and new and we just loved our stay here. Would have loved to have stayed another night!
