The hotel was spacious. The location is convenient if you have been traveling the whole day before reaching the town. There are lots of shops selling fruit, clothes and durable goods nearby in case you want to go on the hunt for a bargain. There is a train station nearby where you can catch a train to Bangkok. Also there is a coach station nearby in case you want to go somewhere else. ATM's are also nearby.

Great swimmingpool and good place to stay before crossing the border of cambodja when arriving by train. We saw real horror stories on internet to cross the border but all in all, it took only less than 2 hours from this hotel (who ordered the tuktuk for us), crossed the border and obtained a visa and 1km walk to our taxi pick-up point in cambodja.

Place is clean, big rooms, but the staff is a gem! The lady who spoke English was very helpful, arranged for us private and not expensive taxi to go to Trat. A very big thank you to you! ( sorry I didn't take your name) and thank you for helping me when my mum was in a hospital. 🧡

There's almost nothing in this town to see or do.
There's almost nothing in this town to see or do. Why visit this town? For three purposes:
1. To border bounce. If you're in Thailand on a short term visa, you'll need to leave and return. This city is connected to Poi Pet, Cambodia.
2. To go to the casinos. There's casinos on the other side in Poi Pet.
3. To buy unwanted Goodwill (a chain of thrift stores in the USA) clothes and goods at the extremely large border market.
Don't meet those three reasons? Then don't go to Aranyaprathet. The city, and place, itself is a typical small Thai town. There is sidewalks, electricity, running water, but there's no reason to go.

It has a huge but chaotic market, was more concerned with our safety, trying to dodge the motor cycle driving around inside the market,
Most sightseeing is well outside the town.
Suppose adequate for transiting the Thai/Cambodian border.

One of the most boring places I have ever been to.
One of the most boring places I have ever been to.
Went there for the market, but it's the MOST boring market I have ever been to as well. Did not see one thing what would have interested me!!!
I travel a lot ( 60 countries so far), but this place takes the cake in super boring!!!!!
The staff were wonderful. The hotel is built in an attractive European style. It has a nice pool ( featured in the photo) and very helpful staff. It also has a good restaurant on site with both Thai and Western options. Breakfast was good. The location is quite close to the town centre , and reception can arrange Tuk Tuks for those that don't want to walk. Will be back.
Very convenient location close to the border right next to the main road. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. I could park my bicycle right next to the room on the terrace. Very good value for the money.
All good, reasonable value for Aranyaprathet. A few kms from the border and walking distance into the town. Nice coffee shop, and the staff & guard were very helpful in finding cold beers in the evening. Pool looked good but we didn't use it.
It's good. New. Clean. Privacy in the dorm (if it was busy), e.g. curtains around the bed, but it was empty so I had the whole dorm to myself. Air-con, hot shower, close to the border and cheap food.
Cheap and friendly stuff.
The room is clean, spacious, air conditioning working good, have a big fridge, hot shower.
The location is perfect to rest before or after crossing the border.
Beautiful little place, clean and very comfortable. Close to the border. Just what i needed and the price was excellent!! Also close to the city park for a relaxing walk.
The staff is friendly, beds at comfy, linen was cuddlesome, mosquito repellent was available,it's close to the market place &food outlets ar available close by.
