Maria Ofelia Hotel is the perfect last stop before leaving El Salvador. The restaurant served a great breakfast to hold one for hours. The friendly, helpful staff was eager to please. They assisted with the rental car return by calling the company for me. They came to the hotel and retrieved the car. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to the airport, minutes away. I like the location of the hotel because it’s in between a lot of places you can visit. The hotel is nice, the views are amazing. I didn’t like how the water in the room from the sink and shower tasted like salt water. Also, it didn’t have warm water. The room was too dark since they only had lamps.

We had an Uber driver and a moto taxi 🚕 drive us- if we had more time, we would have liked to explore a bit more- there are quite a few other activities that are available on the estuary- such as paddle boarding, speed boats, jet skiing, etc. - we did visit two great restaurants close by: Acajutla (my favorite) and La Pampa-Argentinian steakhouse
