My wife and I fell in love with Bocas Olas Resort, we're hoping to plan another trip there ASAP! Special thanks to Solomon, Leo, Omar, Christian (and all of the other staff members, can't remember their names!). We were treated so kindly by everyone....waiters and waitresses, bartenders, housekeepers, groundskeepers, gate guards. Location was perfect, 2 to 3 minute walk into the heart of El Tunco where there are endless food options, bars, nightlife, yoga, massage, shopping, etc. Numerous surf options within walking distance and plenty of places to rent boards in El Tunco. I could go on and on, just go down there and see for yourself! Muchas Gracias Boca Olas, we'll be back soon!

The villa is absolutely beautiful! There are hammocks everywhere and you're literally 10 feet away from the ocean. The volunteers there were all very kind and welcoming. The surf lessons ROCKED. Ryan is an insanely incredible teacher. If you're going to stay here, you need to do a surf lesson.

La libertad is nice but el tunco is a bit better in my ooo ion with more to do. We walked the beaches however the tide was pretty high most of the day so it was difficult to properly enjoy. The town is easily walkable. They were setting up for a surf competition so the park and a few other places were closed leaving a la k of options. Pa y Ma had great food in town!! Probably the highlight of the area.

Exactly what we were looking for beach views. Amazing staff amazing present. Great experience, relaxing environment. Staff very helpful. Me and my wife had a massage. Cannot complain about anything. She really just wanna go. Enjoy yourself and relax. This is the place.

I stayed in playa st Blas during the day and drove to playa El Tunco every evening for the restaurants and the night life. Check out farallones and al acantilados hotels for a more refined experience in La libertad.
The restaurant at the farallones is worth a visit at least

Beautiful beaches; it's is a shame business owners do not invest money in keeping the beaches cleaner. And some of the business owners empty waste in the ocean. So disappointing they have their business there and do not protect this beautiful beaches.

I love La libertad it has so many Beaches and places to explore. It is just amazing. If you live seafood or surfing this is the place. If you ever go there and like the living night and have fun like nightclubs visit El Tunco especially on weekends.
If you are seeking for a 5 star hotel comfort, like to complain and are negative- this is not for you, but If you are ready for rooster to wake you up in the morning and you wanna be in fantastically beautiful place- than it is. It is beautiful, owners are amazing, animals are lovely, location is absolutely perfect. There is a reason why everybody who comes here extends their stay- people here make you feel like you are at home. ❤
Super comfortable room with great AC, excellent Wi-Fi, hot water, comfy beds, large well-equipped bathroom and use of washing machine. Also access to kitchen for hot water etc. Mary was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. Great views over the ocean from the second floor. Restaurant downstairs. If we came to La Libertad again, we’d definitely choose to stay here.
I love everything about this hotel, the views, the pool and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of being helped by Daniel one of the staff members and he went above and beyond any expectations from an employee. I would stay here again for that reason alone besides the fact that it’s walking distance from a bunch of little boutiques located inside Surf City.
The location of this small hotel was amazing! Right in front of the beach and about 5 minutes driving to Surf City. The rooms are decent with functioning AC! The staff was super friendly and did their best to accommodate your requests. We also felt safe as there are security cameras around the property. I cannot complain for the price!
The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable and the service from the staff is exceptional. Every staff member is incredibly helpful and kind. The pools and views were my favorite part. There are 3 pools and 1 of them is an infinity pool that looks over the ocean. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and the rooms are modern.
The hotel was comfortable and very well located, we had a lovely stay. Very close to the beach and in a more quiet and private location, amazing for a good night sleep, but close enough to enjoy the place at night. Jose and the staff were extremely friendly and supportive. We had a lovely stay I highly recommend it.
The rooms are really nice. But there is no beach at all. It is going to the beach, without a beach, and forcing you to only use the pool. No more than that. Bongaloes are quite nice, but they could build this in the city (far away from the beach) because the beach for this hotel is completely inexistent.
Very nice place with ocean view. Nice and comfortable rooms with AC. Very good Wi-Fi. Host Mary is very nice, helpful and polite. Speaks a little bit English. Very close to the fish market. We were able to cook fresh seafood and Mary helped a lot. I really recommend this place to stay in La Libertad
People, waitresses, workers and everybody who is part of Hotel and Restaurante Rincón Familiar was very nice, friendly and very helpful. They would give us a lift from airport and drive us back to the airport at 3am in the morning. Food was delicious and we felt this amazing atmosphere over rhere.
Location and size of the room, there are many shops and restaurants reachable by walk. Safe place and area to stay. It didn't bother me, but for some people sensitive to noise, the traffic noise could be a problem. I believe the hotel can provide you with some plugs for your ears if requested.
beautiful ‘hostel’!! wish i could have stayed forever. definitely more of a hotel vibe which is so nice when you’re travelling for a bit of luxury. double beds in all of the dorms and air con which was sooo nice. comfiest beds in El Salvador! breakfast options were amazing
I enjoyed staying at hotel el viajero very much! My initial booking was for three nights, but I ended up staying for two additional weeks.
The breakfast (especially the ranchero) was very good as well.

The view from the private balcony in our Tortuga suite was breathtaking! Highly recommended! The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Had room service every morning and poolside waitstaff for our drinks and snacks.

Great hotel right near the beach, quick walk to check the surf. Lovely room with en suite. Staff were lovely and breakfast included was fantastic! Omlette and Eggs Benedict (El Salvador version) were both delicious.
