It was the only accommodation that we could find near Sempeter! (We had hoped to visit the Necropolis but it was closed.) It is owned by the municipality and the ground floor is used as a youth centre so we were happy to support it. It was built in the 1970s and might be considered dated but we thought the decor was quite quirky and interesting. Not a bland chain hotel. Reminded us of Cuba. Terrific view north from the fire escape. We were able to put our bikes in the foyer overnight.

This is a great location to use as a base for a journey into the Slovenian Alps. Its location in the foothills gives ample opportunity to travel to a variety of locations along the range without having to travel back and forth through the mountains on winding roads.
