I live in a crowded city, and I made a tradition out of disappearing in the mountains for a few days every year, to get away from the daily madness. The idea is simple: 1) go to a remote place; 2) focus on learning / doing something that matters to you. This location was the best so far for my goals (but it looks like it would also be very enjoyable with a larger group, which is why I plan to return there for leisure). There is a well-positioned outdoor bathtub (ciubăr), and the host offers a wide variety of trips in the area. He is also very friendly.

We really liked the atmosphere of this place. It is far away from the main road, but you will not struggle to reach it by car. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Very cosy place. I recommend this place to single travellers, couples and group of friends. Make sure you bring your drink and food with you, because there are no shops and restaurants nearby.

The landscape in the valley is very special and it's right in front of the lodge. Met the landlord, he was friendly and welcoming. The lodge was clean, cosy, wonderfull rustical style. The road is a bit narrow but easy to reach, 3-4 min. from the main road by car. Highly recommend!
