A nice place to visit during season, as if you go off season...
A nice place to visit during season, as if you go off season it will be a bit deserted. You have three different regions in Mamaia, one where the fair is, there is a bit crowded but the prices for food are more ok, second is the middle part( here the downside is the bicycle lane that goes right thru the middle of the waking area so you always need to pay attention not to get hit) , where you have some nice restaurants but if you want to go to the water it will take for ever as the beaches where enlarged and the third one is Mamaia Sat where the hotel look a bit nicer, the water is close by, but the prices are the highest.

Family beaches with sun beds and umbrellas for rental are great but you can just put your towel down and swim too. Excellent for evening walks and lots of good music available, like Princess Beach Club and Nuba Club.

Long beaches, large enough the width of the beaches, nice modern buildings....from a distance, all are good! But, come to the closer, try to drive between buildings, big shock! There is no asphalt road, no side walk, nothing, there is no surface clean and green! All you can see, stone, sand, and dust!...Beach sand quality, sea water quality are poor. Restaurants near beaches are not enough and also expensive.

It is best to book a hotel near the city centre to avoid the need for any transportation during the stay

We had a fantastic stay at the Onal Boutique Hotelier.
The hotel is nice and modern and the rooms are very chic. The girl from the reception, Mihaela, was wonderful, very helpful and made our stay absolutely perfect. The breakfast was lovely and diverse, the bread was always hot and the dessert (pancakes and croissants) were absolutely brilliant.
We thank you for everything Mihaela, we will definitely come back! Big love x
It is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Its location just on the beach promenade makes it perfect for a beach vacation. Practical is also that it is situated just by the cable car station. Good breakfast buffet with both warm and cold options. Nice roof bar/restaurant with great view over the sea and comprehensive menu with affordable prices.
The room. Was extremely clean, clean white sheets that can be changed whenever you want, comfy bed and clean towels every day.

Cute fancy hotel with very nice rooms and modern facilities and a splendid view of the beach and the sea. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was fresh and had enough variation for our taste. The restaurant also had a terrace with beach&sea view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay!
Excellent accommodation, the building is new and super well maintained, rooms are spacious and clean, we were forty to have a huge terrace with a lovely view. Hotel staff is super friendly. They managed to get us an early checkout and also recommended a bigger room which suited our needs perfectly

By far the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in Mamaia, with a beautiful pool and well-maintained beach. Air conditioning worked exceptionally well during August heat. The Beach bar was great.
The third time at the hotel, they have the best food in the area, rooftop restaurant view is superb, location near the beach, great rooms, fleshly renovated.
