The location is tastefully decorated and very spacious. All is spotless clean, comfortable and great quality. The garden is beautiful, the surrounding willows give an outwordly feeling of being in a fantastic novel, absolutely beautiful. The staff is very respectful, friendly and helpful.

the welcome was wonderful - we arrived VERY late and they were so friendly, and they even, amazingly, made us up an impromptu dinner after it turned out all the local places had closed (because of how late it was) - which was incredibly kind and generous and thoughtful of them, we had such a lovely time, so happy

It is a nice place, with an interesting architecture, lots of swimming pools and water tubes. It connects with Caciulata (you could say they are almost one city and not two).
I would recommend it for thermal water, swimming pools, ferryboat on Olt river.
I wouldn't recommend it for the heavy traffic periods, whidh is wasting some of your time. You have to wake up early, if you want to make sure your day is well spent and you're not staying in traffic.

A cozy small resort in a very beautiful place. To make full use of it (drink mineral water, visit different pools, explore the nature around, etc), you'll definitely need more than a week.
Having a car would help significantly.

Very bad organisation take more than one hour to get the procedure for accommodation ,over one hour I get the key from room, staff from reception bin very rude ignored bin speak with my and in the same time on the phone. I booked accommodation at hotel Cozia and they give me room on hotel Caciulata.Im very disappointed.

We wanted to try out the the thermal baths on the way back...
We wanted to try out the the thermal baths on the way back to Bucharest which was an experience. Unfortunately these thermal baths are always linked to banal hotel chains. So it is better to find a room in the many guesthouses around.
A lot lays around that one main lane and the restaurant we chose didn't have good cuisine. So otherwise it is not a very authentic village.
I was there too short but I think the place is interesting for hiking in nature.

The place its well know for the thermal water sources which are recommended in different affection,unfortunately the area didn't develop much after the revolution.Very limit choices for eating in the area,maybe cos we went out of season.
Best place the eat is Casa Romaneasca.

There are some mountain nature walks which are easy to be done by families (walk to the Lotrisor waterfall).
I really enjoyed the Old Valley in Calimanesti.
The garbage could be collected more often and the mountain paths to be cleaned more
The hotel is situated 20mins walk from the major sightseeing locations in the area (Cozia and Ostrov monasteries).
The staff was helpfull and friendly.
Very good value for money as for the price of our stay there was included the entry to the SPA.
Breakfast was buffet style with clasical choices like ommlet, sausages and few cold dishes.
The SPA facilities (3 saunas, 2 jacuzzi, one pool) were nice and carefully attended for.
You can rent a bathrobe for the SPA from the reception at a convenient price (10RON / day).
Wonderful little hotel for a breakout in the beautiful area in the valley of the Oat river. The room (with balcony) are nice and clean - with a good bed and everytime warm. Food in the own restaurant is very good - not pricy and the service is very friendly and welcoming. The highlight is the outside thermal heated pool which is ideal to relax over the day and evening. If you need to buy some food or drinks - a supermarket is 3min walk distance away... best place in this town!
Clean, comfort, feeling like home. Hosts are flexible, they adapted quick to bring in our room a big table as I wotked from there for a few days. They provided helpful suggestions regarding the places to visit around Calimanesti. Communication went very well, wonderful hosts.

We came from Boston on a family trip. This was a great stay in a beautiful region of Romania! Calimanesti is well worth a visit! The Olt river valley is amazing! We stayed at Casa Flori for two nights and experienced the best of Romanian hospitality! Excellent facilities in a beautiful country home that made us feel like family! Beautiful Cozia Mountain views from the kitchen, excellent atmosphere, warm and welcoming hosts!
In my opinion, this Hotel has the best SPA Area I have seen in this region. The Pools are very big, and they are kept at a high temperature constantly. Sauna is always on (during the operational hours) and it has a lot of room (compared with other hotels where they would turn it on for 1 hours and only if we booked it). The entire SAP was kept clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The location is excellent. Right in the center of Călimănești and 50 meters from a supermarket. It's also quiet since it's not on the main street. I was always on the run and being able to prepare some food quickly was a life saver. If you don't have a car it's the best possible option. The host was kind and helpful. Planning to return soon.

Excellent hotel from all aspects. Room with all facilities, splendid restaurant, in house parking. A very good venue for nature hiking and you can select pools or spa treatment if you wish. The manager waived us the third night payment because of our travel plan change, an act which worthy for gratitude.
It's a great choice for families because there is plenty of space inside and outside of the house. There are many toys available, it kept my kids busy. The view is great, you can see Cozia mountain. 10 min away from Călimănești, Căciulata, Turnu monastery.

The hotel is the best in the area: very clean, modern, with big rooms, great spa, great restaurant and facilities (they have even swimming lessons for kids for free at the pool with a very friendly instructor).
Basic but clean, cozy, and quiet room. Beautifiul forest view from the window. Breakfast was rich. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel and across the street. Good value for the price paid.
