What a delightful place! A retired schoolteacher has renovated three old buildings on the family farm and he and his two daughters (one of whom, Katerina, speaks excellent English) run the place. The conversion of the cottages is complete but the work on the grounds is continuing, though that does not cause any hassle for the guests. His latest project is to take old implements (iron and stone) for pressing olive oil etc, inherited from his ancestors, setting them up as they might have been used in the past (in a rustic sort of way).
My cottage (the smallest of the three, as I was alone) was a bit dark but that was explained by the original layout - probably for the use of animals so with very few (and small) windows.. The amazing thing was that during the day it was cool inside while hot outside, but at night, when it was cold outside, it was warm inside. This is due to the very thick stone walls (they warmed up during the day and let out the heat at night).
The pool is great - spotlessly clean and the house furnishings are modern and smart. My only concern is the bathroom - it's a bit tight for space and I am concerned that someone large (like one of my sisters) might end up getting wedged on the loo and not be able to get out!
There was no internet available in my cottage but apparently that was due to be installed the following week. I was able to use the connection on the verandah of one of the other cottages as there was no-one there during my stay.
The whole place is sublimely peaceful and quiet - you could not wish for a better place to get away from it all. I loved it!

The house is amazing! It has lots of space, both in and outside, it has an interesting architecture and it's location is great! There were books and games available and a parking lot nearby. D. Fátima was really nice and brought us freshly baked bread in the morning one day.
