Service was great, lovely extended family hosts who worked hard to ensure all guests were catered for, food and wine was plentiful, nothing too much trouble.
Our room was at the top of the house and like stepping back in time but was spacious with a second bedroom and living area with chairs and tv, plus great view across the river to Pinhao.
Location was up high so we were happy we took a taxi as roads were tight, and it also resulted in some fantastic photographs of the lighting that lit up the night sky.

The view is even more intoxicating than the wine. Nice rooms, classy and luxurious without pretension. A wonderful place to switch off ones phone, open a red and a book the later have dinner on a long table with people from anywhere in the world. Quite a special place that will live long in the memory. Fantastic breakfast and pool.

We have had a good time at Ventozelo as a family. Both the reception and restaurant staff were great - very welcoming and friendly. The location of quinta is simply unbeatable - it's hard to find more beautiful views around Douro. The facilities are great and well maintained, from house interior to public places. Also, we had a great time during our Jeep tour and nice wine tasting. Definitely a recommended place.

The hotel is very beautiful, in the style of an old hacienda house, in the middle of vinyard fields. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the vinyards. The hotel is part of a wine/port production (Quinta del Portal) and the cellars can be visited nearby.

It was out of season and the hotel was extremely quiet. It was just a one night stopover and the weather was appalling.
Staff were very helpful and breakfast just as we ordered.
Located in the centre of Tabuaço, this residence features air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony. The hotel has a spacious breakfast room and a bar decorated with colourful mosaic tiles.
The area is just beautiful, stunning. There is a sense of awe that overcomes you and the natural surroundings... probably because how narrow the roads are and how high up are. It is worth the drive and the wine and olive oil in the area are exquisite.

One of the most beautiful places in the World.
One of the most beautiful places in the World. Don’t miss this area. Stay out of the large city.
A vineyard hotel up high would be the perfect place. You’ll be able to drive through wonderful small villages in your way. Once in your hotel you’ll probably have access to a great personal or very small tour of the vineyard production facilities. We were invited to walk in the vineyard all we wanted. Views are absolutely amazing. We also stayed at the Barrel hotel which was touristy and filled with buses. Get up and away from the tourist crowd. We drive there Valley by car. It was easy and gorgeous.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food.
Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food. It is worth doing a wine tasting with visit to know the details about wine making and the varities of grapes. The landscape is exquisite and you feel an inner peace looking down the Douro river and the vineyards. The people are warm and happy, always ready to help. It is better to go by car to enjoy the full potential of the region. Be prepared to drive on hills with many curves and narrow roads. They also produce olive oil and it is delicious!!!

I spent there 2 nights, went for a boat tour, tasting in one of the vineyards and stayed in another. The Valenca do Douro is just stunning, I couldn't stop taking photos! It was a weekend trip, so 2 nights after spending 2 nights in Porto were just perfect. If travelled for longer we would probably do more tasting in more vineyards to see differences in the processes of wine production and longer day trips from the vineyard that we stayed at.

This is a very special place. The Quinta has been very well refurbished with lovely interior designs by Pierre Yovanovitch. It has the most beautiful views overlooking the vineyards and the Douro River. We had a room in the main building of the hotel which was very comfortable. Enjoyed our time by the infinity pool where you can sit under the trees looking out at the view. Very friendly staff. Liked the way self-service coffee, drinks and snacks were available. Breakfast was very good. Great wines.
I loved the decor, location, food, and insight winery. strolling the vineyard and gardens in the morning was dreamy…the decor so unique…the views magnificent! the communal table and farm meals were amazing. We loved getting to know other guests at meals. I truly appreciated the designer touches to the whole property. it made it really romantic, yet unique compared to other boutique hotels in the area. A perfect blend of old and new. I also loved wandering the vineyards in the morning.
The location of this hotel is stunning! A few years ago the property was renovated, and the architect at a fabulous job with the winery, the end, and the seamless freshwater pool. Breakfast is very delicious with plenty of options. and the staff were extremely helpful. Two of the three nights first day we ate dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. Staying here was the highlight of our trip, and yes, we would return. Thanks so much for making our anniversary special!
Everything. Lovely large accommodation. Bedroom, sitting room, bathroom. Good views of vineyard and pool. The owners kindly allowed us to park our motorbike in the courtyard. But also had good parking to the side of the hotel. I would recommend having the evening meal. Great food of top quality and unlimited drinks at a great price. Breakfast was very good too with quality ingredients. Staff and owners very friendly and helpful.
•A well thought & well designed hotel with a beautiful
Douro valley view.
•Dining at Côrte was simple but lovely & delicious, it was as exceptional as its wines.
•The staff was quite helpful and kind.
•Wine tour with Francisco was like one in a life time.
Overall, we had a great time over there. It worths all the effort you put Côrte team. It really makes difference. Keep going.!
I recently had an amazing experience at a vineyard hotel in Portugal. The staff was incredibly friendly, the views were breathtaking, and the boutique feel added to the charm. The food was delicious, and the selection of excellent wines was a highlight. It was an unforgettable stay that left me wanting to return in the future.
Our host is so welcoming. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. It was served family style which gave us an opportunity to meet and interact with other travelers from around the world. The food, wine, dessert and port were all excellent. This was one of the nicest places I've stayed at in quite a while.
A super friendly reception by the host, welcome drinks at 19.30 with the other guests, very animated dinners around communal table. This was hotel no.11 on our trip which was meant for relaxation, and it did. The region is a cultural heritage of unbelievable beauty.
* Cozy room in a beautiful wine hotel with delicious breakfast and winery tour/tasting included
* Charming staff included a very fun wine tour leader, Afonso. Most spoke great English
* Breathtaking views from the winery of the Duoro Valley
Staff is very friendly and felt like not being in the typical hotel.
Dinner was prepared by the property for 30 Euro per person which includes three course meal with wine. It was really good.
Morning breakfast was excellent as well.
Absolutely the best hotel/bed and breakfast experience I’ve had in a Long time!

Such a cozy and Nice place - I would definitely come back again :)
The hotel design is superb and all of the amenities are excellent as well. We had breakfast, dinner and a picnic made for us and all the food was delicious! A great home base to explore the Douro region.
A charming hotel located on a wine farm. Very helpful and friendly staff. A large, clean pool. Fantastic wine and very good diners. Very good breakfasts. Located in a wonderful little village.
