An amazing palace full of history. Built in neo-manuelino style inside a lush forest, this palace is one of a kind. The rooms are of course and understandably not comparable with those of a modern 5 star hotel ( the palace is 200+ years old), but you don’t go to Bussaco for this. You go for the amazing atmosphere, the great salons, the historic furniture, the custom- made azulejos with scenes from the Os Lusíadas and from the Battle of Buçaco, for the walks in the incredibly beautiful forest.
