We like to hike so it was a good base for hiking in the park. We cooked for our self ,(we took the room with a kitchen).there is not other options in this village. It's very quite .

good value for money, definitely the cheapest option on offer when I visited. it’s a family run building, and Joao was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station with his car! it’s conveniently located, you can walk everywhere, nice view of the city from my room, a big kitchen to cook meals and decent bathroom. Cozy room with lots of natural lights, mattress is not the best but the towels were the softest :)

Exquisite scenery, well placed for exploring the Serra, with a reasonable number of cafes/restaurants given the size of the village. It was easy to get around (small diversion in place for roadworks) but it was off season.

We've stayed in Unhais da Serra as a base for exploring Serra de Estrela and the region. The town is nicely located in a valley, and pretty well connected - the closest bigger city Covilha is about 20mins drive. There are few well established restaurants in the town with good ratings and decent local food choices. Also a good store with local cheeses, delicacies and craft. It's certainly a nice mountain retreat place. Will visit again in another season.

Lenda do Viriato restaurant has amazing food! and it's walking distance from the hotel.
A small grocery shop called Merceria da Estrela is great to have portuguese tapas (the lady prepares it upon request) and to buy cheese and enchidos.

The breakfast was excecional, prepared by our host Teresa. The location is great with a fantastic view and very close to the vila of Unhais da Serra. Very good place to rest, to have a romantic weekend, or just to have fun with friends and family.
We will return for sure!! ;)
The pool area is by far the best of the hotel. Very well cared for and you have access to a proper spa day with jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna and Hammam. The water temperatura in the pool could definitely be a few degrees warmer.
The breakfast is good and the staff is amazing.
Absolutely superb. Better than some 4 and 5 star hotels. Gabriela, Pedro and family were charming, recommending some great lical attractions to visit. An absolutely brilliant place to stay.
Location is good. The stuff is friendly and helpful. River view and entrance is very nice. Hotel style is very unique and cozy. Good place to visit with a group of friends.
