Exceptional hotel. Rooms were large, spacious and bathroom had a bath with separate shower. Everything very clean, modern and well-maintained. Bed was large and very comfortable. Had a beautiful large lounge area on the first floor, with tea, coffee (complementary) and beer, wine and aperitifs (only E1.5). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location in Tomar.

The staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs such as organising taxis for us to reach destinations, particularly getting back to the hotel late at night

Nice roomy bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was excellent but had to queue to get a cup of tea when they had coach parties in and we couldn’t get a private table. We just clashed when we ate later it was better. The location was excellent walking distance into Tomar and attractive grounds to walk thru.

Hotel was right on the center of things to see. Left a day early because it got too crowded. It was a special event that only happens every 4 years. Sunday was just on there about to walk around the streets. Not hotel fault.

Modern facility in an old building with lots of character
Great town! We were surprised how much we liked Tomar.
Great town! We were surprised how much we liked Tomar. In fact we stayed an extra day to experience the city. It is so walkable, with many cafe and restaurant options in the historical city. There is also a lovely walkway and park along the river. We even caught youth soccer practices at the municipal stadium in the park. The Knights Templar Castle and Church are magnificent! A definite must do. There was also a wonderful Synagogue Museum in town. There is a beautiful main square and church in Tomar. You must go to the Gelatomania restaurant which has gorgeous creations with gelato, fruit, etc. The thing you will want to do the most is simply walk around town at any time of day or night. There are lots of locals out and it is incredibly safe.

Many interesting historical and important Portugese heritage sites. Well designed town with all the necessary amenties close to hand. Excellent infastructure for a small town with good travel links to other towns and cities. Good road network, would recommend hiring a car to visit the area to be able to access those places easily. The area is well maintained and tidy. About and hour and a half drive from Lisbon and 2 hours from Porto so relatively easy travelling time/distance from the major cities. An interesting rather spiritual area with a lot of history. Well worth a visit.

Tomar is a very attractive medieval city, seeped in history. The Convento de Christopher towers over the city and well worth a visit. The Central Park is beautiful with its river and trees is a lovely relaxing place. Plenty of restaurants all in walkable distance of each other. Further out of town is a six kilometre aqueduct built in the time of Philip 2nd of Spain. A marvel of medieval engineer.

Tiny small place. Clean bedding.
Tiny small place. Clean bedding. Quiet. 15 minutes walk from center.
I had to call a few times to get a reply where the key is.
Kitchenette, but:
No kettle for tea, no kitchen towel. Onky one mug.
No bath mat. Bath towels with bleach stains.

If you take the trouble to walk around Tomar, especially the old town, it is a fascinating place. It has an interesting square where the locals come out to socialise in the evening. There are a goodly number of restaurants, suitable for all budgets.
This is a great small hostel, with the friendliest and most informative host. The rooms are fine and very clean, the shared kitchen is very well appointed, There is a shared dining/recreational space which is lovely. The town of Tomar is a really special place to visit. The local Spar shop has everything you need for a lovely meal if you don't want to eat out....
We were travelling by motorcycle and the owner locked it in his garage below the hotel for free. ... perfect !
The house has a lot of history and was the residency for the nobility of Portugal.
I stayed in the apartment which was a very generous size. The property in in the centre of town and near to restraunts and cafe Also nearby to the square and castle. Wish I had time to explore fully but will revisit.
What a beautiful boutique hotel. Can't fault anything. David on reception was more than helpful! Biggest bed ever....we loved it! Spotlessly clean room and hotel right in the heart of Old Town Tomar. Would definitely return without hesitation.
Excellent location with very helpful staff. Restaurant owned by the same people is next door and was one of the best meals we had in Portugal in 2 weeks. Swimming pool was very welcome at end of long day.
The hotel manage and staff couldn’t help me enough with advice about Tomar and my stay in the hotel.
Great food, central location and an amazing room, with allot of attention to detail.
