Very relaxing and although it doesn’t have a pool yet the river is close and is a great swimming spot. The garden is lush and colourful and a great place to relax particularly in the evening. Carla and Paulo work really hard to make sure that everything is just perfect for your stay and nothing is too much for them. We spent five weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of that time we had our 3 grandchildren aged between four and 11 staying with us. The river swimming for kids of that age is even better than a swimming pool and we have spent hours relaxing on the beach next to the river to then return to lush green garden and a barbecue.

Very nice house, comfortable for 6 people (three double bedrooms where two of them with attached bathrooms) plus two additional separate bathrooms/ toilets. Nice terrace with air conditioning to relax. We spent there 10 nights and the stay was very pleasant, this is quiet place in small village, with step and thin roads, surrounded by local plants and trees. It was good localization for us, so we could visit many places around: 30 minutes by car to the Barra and Costa Nova beaches, the same to Aveiro, 1h to Porto, 1h to Coimbra, 1,20 h to Fatima. Extremely good contact with owner, intimidate reaction on our emails and any needs - this attitude was priceless! Thank you Miguel we appreciated this a lot!

I had an incredible stay at Jenny and Hugo's place! They are truly exceptional hosts, incredibly warm and welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze. Upon arrival, they kindly gifted me with freshly harvested vegetables from their garden, along with a delightful bottle of Port wine—a lovely touch!
The house itself is beautifully restored and decorated, with a level of comfort that's beyond compare. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the views from both the bedroom and bed were absolutely breathtaking. They've provided an abundance of pillows, catering to every possible preference.
The pool was a highlight—spacious, perfect temperature, and the surrounding area with grass, sofas, and a table made lounging exceptionally comfortable. It's a nature lover's paradise, with stunning views and an incredibly serene atmosphere. Jenny and Hugo were incredibly attentive throughout my stay, ensuring I had everything I needed.
Three days in this peaceful place flew by—it was an absolute dream. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway!
