Beautifully re-modelled building with excellent facilities. A superb shower, and large comfortable room. Probably the best breakfast that we've had on this whole trip.

We loved our room (2 bedroom apartment), it was comfortable and clean. Anything we asked and needed, we got quickly.
The kitchen has everything you need and there is a cool bbq outside.
The view from the room on the river is amazing. Every morning we sat to drink coffee outside.

This part of Portugal is developing its tourist scene, and that is exacty why we chose to visit it. It is a rugged area, that lends itself to hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor pursuits. The venue is located on the southern edge of the Penedes Geres national park, and we found plenty to see and do as we like hiking and mountainous areas.
There are several places to eat around the area, which all seem to offer good value and good home made food. However, be prepared to travel to get there.
We are at the the restaurant next to the fridge at Ponta Nova and would readily recommend it.
