Staying in an old windmill can be truly fascinating. But unfortunately the experience has been negative. Nothing good, apart from the position and the exterior of the mill.

The location is perfect because you are at center of the Island where you can find everything you need but you are really close to nature so... what else can we want?
The host was amazing, dedicated, available for all our questions, kind and show us why Graciosa is always a good option (nature, culture and kindness).
This is a small island, not touristic at all. Small houses scattered across the island but very, very few people. For every 20 buildings you may find a human. Mostly local workers taking care of their fields and animals. If you are looking for a peaceful place to go, this is it! Amazingly there seems to be internet wherever you go (3G/4G). The houses have thick walls so the WiFi isn’t likely to be available around the house. As far as places to visit go, the landscape is awesome everywhere . There are lizards in the walls everywhere to make you company.
You will need a car to wander about. Public transportation doesn’t seem to be available periodically.

Everything was lovely, very quaint, clean and quiet.
Everything was lovely, very quaint, clean and quiet. The lady who ran the hotel was very friendly and helpful, she even did some clothes washing for me at a very reasonable price. The only thing I would say that needs improving is the mattress and pillows, these were not comfortable.
I am vegetarian and the two restaurants very near the hotel were excellent, Costa Do Sol and Jale. But if you are vegan, you will find eating out impossible!

Beautiful island with wonderful landscape.
Beautiful island with wonderful landscape. A great destination if you are looking for tranquility, nature and sea. However, the only problem is finding places to have a meal. In october is quite difficult.
Besides that is a must go destination.

Nice hotel , you can say it is vintage but I actually like the way it is, because it goes very well with the atmosphere of the island, which is quite rural, and lovely. I really enjoyed Graciosa and the hotel as well. The lady at the reception was very helpful . Good price , rooms are quite functional
Relatively old looking hotel but comfortable enough. Friendly staff. Quiet place. Sufficient breakfast. At night, the room has excellent blackout shutters.
