The view is awesome. It's worth just for the view itself. It's close to the airport, 13 minutes by car.
We were 6 persons, it was enough space for all of us. The rooms are big, with high ceilings. There are 2 bathrooms but just one of them has a shower. It's a quiet place, you can see the mountain and the ocean.
Boasting a garden, shared lounge, terrace and free WiFi, Jaca Hostel Porto da Cruz is set in Porto da Cruz, 100 metres from Alagoa Beach and 100 metres from Maiata Beach.

Excellent location, large property with great views and nice swimming pool. Please disregard the negative comment about toilet roll on the review by 'Birznieksm Austria' as this is common practice throughout Madeira due to the nature of their waste water systems and processing.
Situated on the island of Madeira, the Dom Pedro Madeira is located on the beach of Machico Bay.

The view from our room was amazing over the bay, and the corridor only had one other room so no noise late at night from others .Breakfast was good choice shame only one coffee machine working massive queues for a drink and took two more mornings to fix the broken machine . Table tennis table . Always review for mobility/disabled. Although there are lifts to rooms and sloped front entrance the dining area has at least 4 steps down so not wheelchair accessible as far as I could see. Staff helpful
Welcoming bottle Madeira wine and water on arrival with biscuits. Machico is a lovely town close to airport with bus station. We went everywhere by bus
Featuring stunning views of the north-east coast of the Island of Madeira and the surrounding mountains, this 4-star hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and a balcony.

The pool, vinyard, surrounding lookout points, it all added to the total relaxation. Breakfast was decent as far as buffets go. They did do some things cooked to order which was great. The staff in the bar were so nice, always great service too.
Featuring a house dating back to 1920, Porto Bay Serra Golf is surrounded by gardens, and provides guests with direct access to Santo da Serra Golf Course.
Located halfway between Machico and Santa Cruz, this family-run hotel is just a short drive from Madeira Airport and impresses with stunning sea views.

The room is spacious for one or two persons, with a balcony and a great ocean, garden and airport views. Besides, Al Moniz is located in a quiet villa district. You can walk to the airport (circa 50 minutes) without calling a taxi.
Quinta Santo Antonio Da Serra is situated in the Madeira countryside, only 18 km from Funchal. All of the self contained apartments have a real wood fireplace and a balcony.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The area is very quiet and the little cottages are perfect for visitors with young children.

Beautifully situated little village with everything you need for a "slow life" relaxing, stress free stay! We visited almost all costal villages in Madera, and Porto da Cruz is by far our favourite!!!! We love this place and keep coming back here! :) Also, the is the best restaurant ever, A Pipa! A small but very cozy town.
A small but very cozy town. Has few local supermarkets, few good restaurants and snack bars with a perfect food. Amazing rock views. Also you must visit a Madeira rum factory, that is located in this town and taste it. This town has 2 beaches and 1 local natural pool.

Unspoilt, charming town with beautiful views of the sea. Excellent restaurants serving fresh, traditional food at very reasonable prices.
Great sea water swimming pool and coastline walks.
Not easy if you’re using public transport as buses are infrequent.

Sleepy little fishing village surrounded by sloping hills...
Sleepy little fishing village surrounded by sloping hills and sheer cliffs. Magnificent scenery around. Ideal for surfers. Pleasant climate when we visited in April. Flowers all around in full bloom. If you're looking for an active holiday hiking in nature and tranquil evenings, this is the place to come. Having a head for heights is a bonus. Or take gentler trails to get used to sometimes dizzying drops at your own pace. We stayed outside of Porto da Cruz in a little house about 20 mins walk away nestling on a green hill that sloped gently into a valley. Small streams abound taking water down to the sea. Expect birdsong everywhere, especially in the mornings punctuated with cocks crowing from small farmsteads peppered around the slopes. Frogs also joined in with their springtime mating calls trilling the air. Food was simple but from high quality local produce. We'd recommend this area and a visit to Madeira to those needing to get back to nature and a sustainable approach to life. Not too much litter in and around the town. Either local groups clearing up or tourists in general are conscious and careful to respect the natural beauty of the environment by leaving as little trace of their passing as possible.

It's a small town, beach not usable, outdoor pool in bad conditions, room not clean (shower and floor ) two places for hiking: one is dangerous, one is steap and boring, no view
Everything is damp, not much sun
Big and comfortable house. Big sunny terrace with amazing view. If the house was not a bit cold it would have been perfect. The host was very nice, generous and reactive. We were offered fruits at arrival, then a bottle of wine which was excellent and when we asked for heaters because it was cold, they brought 2 electric heaters. Porto da Cruz is a very nice village and the bus stops nearby the house so it’s easy to go to the village and it’s natural swimming pool if one doesn’t want to go by foot.
The view from the house is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed watching the sea and the surfers. The house is a 20-minute-walk from the small town Porto da Cruz (where you can find a couple of restaurants and a tiny super market that has the basic things you will need). The showers are great. The woman who checked us in was super friendly as well. Even though we had an unpleasant encounter with her boss, I would still recommend. The owner may be inexperienced with subletting the house?
This accommodation was excellent, we had a wonderful time there. The furniture was beautiful and everything was clean. The owner was very friendly. The accommodation is located very close to the ocean in the beautiful area of Porto da Cruz. The house had everything we needed. If you're looking for tranquility and peace, you will definitely find it in this location. We would definitely love to come back.
The location. We loved coming “home” to Porto da Cruz. Great and friendly people, good local food, and rainbows every day-usually doubles!
The space was terrific, beds very comfortable and plenty of hot water. We had planned hikes in the northeast while there and very happy everything was within 20 minutes drive. Luna was a fabulous host, very responsive and made us feel so relaxed.
We hadn’t stayed in Porto da Cruz before, it’s a quaint little surf town on the coast. The house is older but in a great location for anyone who wants to get around without using a car. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the beds were really hard so be prepared. Check out Dino’s Bar right under the house, fantastic poncha and a nice location for walking.
The house is located at the edge of the village to Porto da Cruz (5 mins downhill walk to village). The village is very cute, with a lovely natural salt water swimming pool maintained by local municipal (1.5€ for the adults), a few reasonable restaurants at the seafront, a bakery, and a supermarket. The house has a lovely garden and beautiful seaview.
The room was big, cozy and clean, the staff was kind and always available if you had any question. The view on the sea during breakfast was breathtaking and the location was perfect and central. For breakfast the hotel offers a good variety of food. If you love calmness, nature and the sound of the ocean, this is the hotel for you!!!!
The studio is set up well - everything you need and very organized. Located close to a mini-mercado for conveniences. Just a short 5 minute drive to beautiful Porto Da Cruz and the surf spots. The studio is very clean and comfortable. There were a lot of thoughtful touches like a drying rack for clothes.
I enjoyed everything the hotel offered. The facilities including the room was exceptional and the entire place smelled and looked awesome. The staff were also very friendly and attentive to any of your questions or needs. Overall, an exceptional stay and an awesome location.
We were extremely happy with everything. A car is useful if you stay here to visit other parts of the island. You can easily walk to Porto da Cruz and the beaches around. Helpful and kind property owner made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back.
Jaca Hostel in Porto da Cruz is centrally located, right next to the beach, pools, restaurants and bus station. And Porto da Cruz itself is a lovely town! The atmosphere in the hostel is nice, vivid, you may get friends, enjoy music, burger night, etc.
Beautiful house with a terrace and a garrage. Has beachy vibes and the photos are accurate to the reality. Very kind owners, good communication with them. We would love to come back one day, Porto da Cruz is one of the best villages in Madeira.
We had a great stay at hotel Costa Linda. The view was breathtaking and everything is at walking distance. There is a great public swimming pool and amazing restaurants. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend!
Perfect location; short and enjoyable walk along the beach to Porto da Cruz. Car parking space. Comfortable and clean house. Basic accommodation but has everything you need and a great base. Really beautiful location.
No breakfast. Very convenient to Porto da Cruz shore, restaurants and walking paths. The owners were very quick to respond to our needs and any issues with the lodging. Secure parking for our rental car.
Very friendly staff. Very good restaurant and nicest breakfast we had amongst the hotels we had during our stay in Madeira. Nice location near the ocean and very beautiful surroundings.
