I can’t say enough about how lovely our stay was. The room was so comfortable, the house is lovely and well located with a lovely little garden behind full of great energy. Everyone is so friendly and the breakfast is incredible. Local produce and fresh papaya from the garden, what more could you want.
I could also recommend a yoga session on the deck, really magical and grounding.
Can’t wait to go back.

Cool , calm , quiet , fairly well located and good value. Not ‘front line’ but perfectly possible to walk to the beach and the bars/restaurants in the Main Street if you’re reasonably able. My wife doesn’t walk too well so we had to use the car but parking was never a problem. The pool and patio is a nice feature.

A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.

Gorgeous spot to visit if you want to stear away from big crowds. Views are breathtaking with a bunch of beaches connected by caves and grottos. There really isn't much else there. A small little village with some eating facilities and a small supermarket. It's a perfect spot for one day and night. The fact that you can park your car wherever you please is also very nice.

Great location for beach goers, with multiple pristine, gorgeous coves in close walking proximity.
Friendly staff; we were upgraded to an ocean front view room and they were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout, last day of our trip so we were able to enjoy the beach before our long flight home.
Breakfast (included) was plentiful and offered many options.
Our trip included stays at 5 hotels, this was the only one that actually had a stocked mini fridge.

Porto Covo is an attractive little town with a small fishing harbour. The Main Street has a lot of very touristy shops. A fair choice of restaurants to eat in but nothing special. It was easy to get to using the very efficient Portuguese bus service and a good place to start walking the Rota Vicentina.

Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant.
Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant. Lovely little local fish and fruit market open in the mornings only. No main supermarket that I could see, only small local ones. But a beautiful beach and cove.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling.
Sweet town, but very touristy feeling. Tour buses dropping people in, and the restaurants felt geared for tourists too. (though check out the pizza place in the main street, excellent).
Great view from the coastline but not a swimmable beach. Really central to some great day trips, but I think there are better towns in the area for a longer stay.
Check out the horseriding nearby, excellent.
The location was STUNNING. It's right on the water, we could see the sunset from our room, and the coast is gorgeous, quiet, and easily accessible from the room for peaceful walks and exploration.
The room itself was rustic but well taken care of. Excellent water pressure, hot water, and WiFi worked well. The bed was also comfortable. The best thing about the room was that you could literally hear the waves from your window, it was so peaceful and the best night's sleep we had in portugal!
The house is very rustic and very quiet. The garden view from the room is beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped and the house is very clean.
There is a bit of a distance between the house and Porto Covo but the owners offered to give as a ride when we wanted to go. We preferred going by bike and they gracefully lend us their bikes.
They also picked us up from the bus station in Porto Covo and gave as a ride to town when we left. They were very kind and considerate.
Location and Porto Covo were wonderful. Communication exceptional and the hosts so friendly. Room was simply decorated and very clean with everything you needed. We had a room with balcony and gorgeous views. Breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh homemade items, relaxed dining on the terrace. There is nothing to fault.
Nicolau was really helpful and provided us with lots of information for the Fisherman’s Trail. Porto Covo is a lovely little town and the hostel is located close to the centre.
The kitchen has a coffee machine which was very welcome in the morning. All the guests were friendly. We stayed in one of the 2 double rooms.
We had a very pleasant experience where the host received us at the time we advised we were arriving. We arrived in Porto Covo on Rede Expresso bus and the the property was very close. The Host explained everything in the property and was very helpful with directions and suggestions for dining.
The property is very well managed from walking paths to visit the donkeys, Llamas, saltwater pool, and more! Room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner on site was delicious and appreciated the conversation with waitstaff and cook. Short drive to walk the wild beach - spectacular!
Lovely well keep grounds and gardens. Our very large dog was made very welcome and enjoyed meeting the Donkey, Goats and Chickens! Room was perfect, comfy beds and good rural location to explore the surrounding areas such as Vila Nova do Milfonte and Porto Covo's beaches.
Extremely clean room, great room cleaning service, delicious breakfast on the balcony with sea view, great location in the nice town of Porto Covo, super friendly staff. Nice decor. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in O Lugar.
The beach nearby is beautiful and we had a great view of the ocean from our room. The rooms had a modern and comfortable decor. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The little town is within an easy walking distance.
The location is phenomenal. It has a rooftop bar with 180° coastal view with lighthouse. The bunkbed was comfortable plenty of storage space for luggage and valuables with a lock for each bed. I did not want to leave.
The accommodation is situated on a quiet street with all beaches, restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. Our studio apartment had everything needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and was very clean.
Nice and spacious room with modern interior. Very beautiful and well maintained pool.
Great breakfast and very nice staff. The hotel is located next to the sea, the town center is not far.
We liked the house - it was spacious and offered everything we could need. The pool and the outdoor fireplace were great and the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware.
