The view from our room was amazing over the bay, and the corridor only had one other room so no noise late at night from others .Breakfast was good choice shame only one coffee machine working massive queues for a drink and took two more mornings to fix the broken machine . Table tennis table . Always review for mobility/disabled. Although there are lifts to rooms and sloped front entrance the dining area has at least 4 steps down so not wheelchair accessible as far as I could see. Staff helpful
Welcoming bottle Madeira wine and water on arrival with biscuits. Machico is a lovely town close to airport with bus station. We went everywhere by bus

The outside area of the hotel with the garden is very beautiful, well maintained and makes a very good impression. The location of the hotel in Funchal is also very good (approx. 15 min walk to the lively area). The parking lot is also good and sufficient.

We loved pretty much everything about Sentido Galomar. The location is great! Close to the airport and to Funchal but not so close that it's too busy. The house reef (free entry to the lido for hotel guests) was amazing for snorkeling (so many fish!). Nice walk to the Cristo Rei and Garajau beach and cable car. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was probably one of the best we've had so far. The Galomar part of the resort is adults only, so no screaming kids or kids running around the pool. The room was big, had everything we needed and a nice view of the pool and sea. Pool towels were included. The saunas were beautiful (sea views from inside!) and various spa treatments were available (although we did not make use of them this time). There is also a gym and indoor pool. We'll definitely be back! :)

We loved the hotel’s rural setting, high above Funchal, its old world luxury, and the quality of service offered by the staff. Best of all was the direct access to the extraordinary adjacent Palheiro garden. A very special hotel.
