We liked the location, close to the center yet in a calm and nice neighborhood. If you take the ferry to Porto Santo you are right at the marina in 5 minutes! The hotel - quinta is cozy and the garden is gorgeous! Breakfast was great and the restaurant terrace is romantic and beautiful. The rooms a bit oldish (at least ours) but comfortable and spacious. Staff was kind and helpful.

The room was nice with a great view on the sea front, on the other hand it was just on top of the street. The staff was kind as a general group, but there was 1 exception. The structure offers additional service (on payment) that you can use if you want (e.g., drink water is 2€ pro bottle or you can buy that at the supermarket close to the structure 50 cents).
The breakfast was very good.
I shall not forget to mention the couple from the upper floor, with their "loud acrobatic manoeuvres," they made us smile... sometimes.
