The hotel was exceptionally. The surrounding area was absolutely stunning. The hotel allowed guests 24 hour access to the garden and thermal pool located on the hotel grounds. The garden behind the hotel was beautiful with so much to see and explore. The thermal pool was so relaxing.
The hotel restaurant was excellent and the presentation of food was off the charts.
Fabulous staff and extremely knowledgeable.

Wonderful house in the fantastic Furnas! It's a very traditional house with a soul and very tranquile athmosphere. It is situated very close to Pocas da d.Beija hot springs - which is my favorite place in Furnas.
We had very nice time there and already dreaming to come back one day!

Luis, the owner was very welcoming, helpful with dining, sightseeing tips on our 3 nights stay from May13. Take time to walk around his beautiful, peaceful, paradise of a garden with fruit trees, flowers, pond, awesome treed place. The bedroom. private bathroom ( next to bedroom), equipped kitchen, living room, patio was very spacious, relaxing. Wished we stayed here longer with close proximity to center of Furnas, Lagoa da Furnas and iconic sights. Private free on site parking was a plus, Highly recommend this place. We really liked the Caldieras in town, and tasting the water and the corn on the cob. We liked the Cozido Stew, we had enough left over to eat it the next night. We liked the Grena National Parc and very interesting to see the restaurants uncover their stew.

Wonderful place to stay in Furnas!
Wonderful place to stay in Furnas! It is quiet, but 5 minute walk to everything. Below is our itinerary for the three days we stayed here:
Tuesday, July 4th
Day- Lagao de Fogo was slammed and required a shuttle (no cars after 9:00) so secret waterfalls, beach at Praia de Fogo and Lagoa de Furnas
Evening- Dinner at Mirando (Civado Stew is delicious and pudding/chorizo)
Wednesday, July 5th
Monring- early breakfast and hike Salto de Prego
Day- road trip to Nordeste, beaches, miraduros, hike, tea Plantation Gorreana
Evening- hot pools at Breija and A Quinta outside for dinner
Thursday, July 6th
Morning- hike waterfalls at Gena (go before 9:30 so not crowded)
Day- Lunch and hot pools at Terra Nostra Hotel and Gardens
Dinner- Tea at Chalet Tia Merces, sunset at Mirador Pico de Ferras (amazing)

Beautiful destination full with bubbling hot waters, "jurastic" parks, hot thermal baths and potable springs. Do not miss to see how the Cozido is cooked on the hot waters and to taste it at Miroma restaurant or Tony's. From here, go to the free of charge park with nice waterfalls Jardim Botânico da Ribeira do Guilherme. On the way back to Ponta Delgada, definitely make a reservation to Centro de Interpretação Ambiental da Caldeira Velha and visit the Gorreana tea plantation if you like.

Beautiful spot was pleasantly surprised by the amount of things available in the local shop, we had a perfect kitchen for cooking so we didn't get to eat and can't comment on the local restaurants.

Furnas is a a great location to visit when on the island.
Furnas is a a great location to visit when on the island. Beautiful town and the seeing the calderas is a must when there. The gardens are beautiful and great for an extended walk. Eating the cozido from the volcanic waters was a highlight. Very good!

Furnas has a lot of interesting features- gardens, thermal baths, spa, Cozido meal, and restaurants.
It is easy to walk around
It is also handy to a lot of the other places . Sete Cidades was about the furthest away and took about 1 hour .
We really liked staying in one spot and doing day trips from there .
We ate at Tony’s right in walking distance both for our Cozido lunch and another evening for dinner .
The apartment is located in the center of Furnas, very close (walking distance) to good restaurants and thermal springs. The check-in was easy, the instructions were provided remotely by the host via phone. Common areas (kitchen, living room) are very nicely decorated, and the kitchen is also fully equipped and useful. There is a free public parking available just across the street, which is great. Other guests in the house were quiet and respectful. The value for money was OK.
The space suited our needs. There was adequate space for four adults and very good internet. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the ability to wash our clothes and hang them to dry. The location is close to everything. We walked just about everywhere. There is also ample street parking. There is a soccer field close by where we went to see a game. We walked to the hot springs and gardens and many excellent restaurants. The beds are comfortable and we felt safe there.
Room was nicely decorated and reasonably spacious. Nice outdoor balcony. Comfortable bed, pillows. Bathroom was fine.

Being on top of a hill, THIS hotel is very comfortable with mountain breezes and wonderful view with slider to balcony and many other outdoor seating areas.
Well represented, easy to find, well located. Apartment was very clean & spacious and had a great little patio. Kitchen was well equipped. The owner, Pedro, was very responsive and added thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit basket on arrival, fresh milk, fresh bread rolls each morning and pods to make coffee. Groceries, restaurants and sites within easy walking access. We would definitely recommend!
The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything you expect with friendly staff, clean and ample parking; but with so many other things which put it above the rest. The botanical gardens attached are beautiful, the use of the thermal pool to cap off your evening is magical and the food from either of the two restaurants is exceptional. Highly recommend.

Intimate location with only 5 rooms, immersed in jungle type small park, with swimming pool to relax.
No service on site, breakfast is in the fridge with kitchenette at disposal, with fresh bread left by the door each morning.
Check in was seamless (keys located in a lockbox outside the front door). Building is clearly labeled to make it easy to find the location. Parking is convenient with a designated area just a bit past the building. The whole house was very neat and clean! The location of Furnas Nook is perfect- very central to all of Furnas has to offer.
This residence is a gem. We ate each meal on the veranda, to the sound of the stream. The baths at Poca da Dona Bejia are just 1/2 block away. Book online early before-hand! Furnas is so walkable to everything we needed, or wanted to see. Great host, Very accommodating, and communicative. The kitchen was very well appointed.
This could be a gem of a traditional Azorean property set in a fantastic, quiet location in a backstreet of Furnas. The garden was delightful. It is a very rustic property. The facilities such as washing machine etc and recycling were good. But please be aware of the drawbacks. Towels, sheets and fridge were clean.
Beautiful location, excellent staff and service, incredible experience using the on-site thermal pool facilities to the restaurant and sipping on tea in robes as we wandered around the hotel. Everything was well explained, we were able to relax and there were lots of little surprises that were a nice touch.
The swimming pools, very nice staff, very good breakfast and restaurant. I had a free upgrade for my room, and was so lucky to have the big beautiful room (a honeymoon suite?) in front. I hihgly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Furnas.
Furnas Apartment is a wonderful, clean and comfortable apartment in a fabulous location. The hosts could not be more lovely or helpful! We would’ve loved to have stayed even longer.
