On leaving Villa Tranberg, we felt like we had just visited friends for a long weekend. Gabriela helped us with recommendations in the area, her breakfast, all home made, was amazing. She brought us iced water when we were sitting around her pool in her beautifully kept gardens. Yet she knew when to give us space to relax.
The rooms were perfect. Every little thing was thought of. The towels soft, the huge bed so comfortable, she made sure there were extra pillows for me as I was pregnant and needed extra. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the views were incredible. It just made the stay so easy and comfortable. Don't book in one of the soulless resorts, book here!

This adult-only 4-star hotel is located just 38 km from Faro International Airport (FAO), 3 km from the centre of Albufeira and within 15 km of many of the best golf courses in the Algarve.

The village of Ferreiras is a few miles from downtown Albufeira (8 Euro in a taxi) it is where the Portuguese live and has lots of small bars where you can eat and drink very cheap when compared to downtown.It also has all the amenities, shops, supermarkets, pastelaria's etc. We can't recommend it highly enough.

A little out so car is needed. A few small bars and restaurants geared more toward locals than tourists. However Restaurant Refúgio De Vicente is worth checking out. Supermarket in locality and bakery at end of street which were very good.
